I-XI: Buzzing Around & Season I recap
Added 2023-07-15 21:55:37 +0000 UTC
The final entry of the season. Kind of wanted to do a I-XII, but it no longer seems appropriate time-wise. Instead, I'll take a deep breath, look at where I am, give the TWM story some more love that it deserves, and move onto Season II quite soon.
The deal stays, you will see the entries as they come, and the season will start off on DeviantArt only when there's (roughly) enough.
A couple things that will change for sure:
- In the beginning, reference photos were quite helpful for understanding anatomy, different angles, poses, things that help transport a made-up vision into an observable drawing. Fluency, you know.
However, sticking to references too much made for uninspired, "normal" drawings. They might make as much sense in ensemble with the story as they want, but the picture has to be able to stand its own ground.
I could discuss what I think of every single entry of Season I in a massive wall of text, but somehow, that doesn't feel like the right thing to do. Instead, I'll just say I have no regrets. - No one ever said anything about it out loud, and yet I feel like it's hanging in the air. Backgrounds will change. They will probably have something to do with simple shapes and their interaction with the drawing and we'll see how that looks later. One thing for sure: you won't see VERTICAL STRIPES for a background from me again.
That is it, unless I forgot something and will update the post with it later. My motivation to create has never been as consistent as it is now. Many thanks to you, the patrons that were there for the months-long creatorial struggle that led me to this little achievement of coming up with, going through and finishing Enchanted Clothing Season I.
