Volume 1 Chapter 6: Keqing's Hatred

"Strange..." Keqing wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, murmuring to herself, "Why would I have such a dream?"

In the dream, her personality was drastically different from her real self—bloodthirsty, brutal, and wantonly killing the innocent. 

She had become the very kind of villain she despised the most. 

However, considering the many hardships she endured in the dream, her descent into darkness was somewhat inevitable.

"But..." For some reason, a glimmer of heat appeared in Keqing's eyes. "The me in the dream was incredibly powerful…."

Currently, Keqing's strength was among the top of those who wielded a Vision, but she was still far from the power she possessed in her blackened dream state. 

Generally, the events in dreams fade quickly upon waking, and the faces of people in dreams are often hard to remember. 

However, Keqing could vividly recall the face of the person named Li Xingshan, even though she was certain she had never met him in real life.

"Hmph..." Keqing snorted coldly, muttering to herself, "That person, despite his name 'Xingshan' (meaning doing good deeds), acted despicably. Luckily, he only exists in dreams. If I met such a person in real life, I would teach him a good lesson!"

"Achoo!" Li Xingshan, still outside Liyue Harbor, sneezed inexplicably. 

He was completely unaware that a significant figure in Liyue Harbor had already taken a dislike to him.

"How much further do I have to walk...?" Li Xingshan, feeling somewhat exhausted, sighed, "Why does it feel like I'm not getting any closer?"

"Help! Help!" As Li Xingshan was about to complain, he suddenly heard a cry for help from behind some bushes.

Startled, Li Xingshan ran towards the source of the cry without hesitation. 

He pushed through the bushes and immediately saw a hulking figure standing like an iron tower not far away, holding a massive axe about two to three meters long.

The creature looked somewhat like a Hilichurl but was several times larger—a Hilichurl Berserker!

In front of the Hilichurl Berserker were several wagons and people dressed as merchants. Beside them lay several warriors in armor with weapons, all injured.

Unlike in the game, where Hilichurl Berserkers were not particularly troublesome for players, they were quite a challenge for ordinary adventurers and caravan guards.

"You beast! Stop hurting people!" Without hesitation, Li Xingshan stepped forward and punched the Hilichurl Berserker in the chest.

The Hilichurl Berserker, not taking a single human seriously, didn't even try to dodge. It only felt a huge force in its chest, causing its large body to stagger back a few steps.

As expected, while Li Xingshan's Facebreaker could easily dispatch a regular Hilichurl, it wasn't enough to kill a much stronger Hilichurl Berserker in one hit. 

Moreover, the punch seemed to have infuriated the Berserker, which steadied itself and swung its giant axe back at Li Xingshan.

Li Xingshan couldn't dodge in time, and the axe struck his back, making him cough up a mouthful of blood immediately.

The other effect of the Facebreaker was that it could accumulate "Grit" when taking damage to enhance its power. 

Gritting his teeth and enduring the intense pain, Li Xingshan threw another punch at the Hilichurl Berserker.
