(last one for today I swear XD)
if this is boring to read, I can always just upload different designs and nothing else XD
so let me know^^
Initially Persephone's design started the way I described in he previous post, she was Elly with some flowers in her hair.
But in what way??

She was Elly with a darker complexion because I imagined her in the sun all day and frankly I liked that skin-tone a lot, it shades nicely and the colors on her just pop.
Regarding clothes, you notice on the left I wasn't sure what I'm gonna make her wear. In a way it made sense to have some sort of leafy type dress, but remembering my decision not to over-complicate things, I decided on a much more simpler design.
For her head I tried out the laurel crown design. Laurels made somewhat sense because they were connected to ancient times...but that looked boring on her so I rejected it immediately.
I started adding random leaves and flowers as a test and didn't worry about it too much, until I made the kiss sketch

Here it became clear to me that I want her crown to be alive and responsive to her emotions.

Looking at that guideline below it's easy to spot how all of her positive emotions always have flowers, while the negative ones are always barren or droopy. They are kind of like.. cat ears of plants. xD

So since her power is...life itself. Sometimes in extreme situations she will not only have her crown change but her whole surroundings as well.

So these were some of the early explorations of her powers.
As you can see she is not defenseless at all XD
If she is scared or mad she can grow thorns to either block the way, or attack by protruding the spiky bits further, or she can surround herself in a cupola of thorns making sure nobody can get to her.
Though fear is not the only strong emotion out there.
So contrasted to the thorns, when she is genuinely happy she can recreate whole meadows with soft grass, flowers and herbs on her own.

But silly Linda, things can't grow in the underworld!!
That place is all death!!
NAY I SAY! XD
I've seen a lot of descriptions of underworld as barren lands of death, but I absolutely see my underworld as a fertile one.
It's not exhausted by constant cultivation like on the surface. The only downside is... there's no sun XD

Another aspect of Persephone will be after her wedding with Hades, where she will grow a more dignified queen like crown and will share the underworld responsibilities with him.
That absolutely doesn't mean her old crown will be replaced permanently XD But this one will be reserved for her royal duties XD

he loves to see her crown change XD
...and that's pretty much most on Persephone's character design. ^^
