This Exciting (Mildly Frightening) New Enterprise
Added 2023-11-01 02:10:28 +0000 UTCWow. A Patreon. Never thought I would get to this point. It’s thrilling to have a platform to share work on outside of Amazon! I’m still new, so please bear with me. I’ll do my best to respond to comments and keep you updated.
As mentioned in the Patreon description, I also want to use this platform for behind-the-scenes stuff that goes beyond what I share on the Romance for Men discord. While my biggest endeavor at the moment has been assembling and building out this site, I have a few other things worth mentioning:
Anyone who’s read my Afterward in His Orc Charioteer Bride will know that I’ve been working on a “reverse Mulan” story. I’ve completed over 6K words of research and plotting, but early feedback prompted me to rethink some elements. I’m not shelving it, but I’ve decided to shift it while I hash them out. So the next Adamant World story will be To Love a Goddess: Summer. The prologue’s already been written and I’m sorting out the rest of its structure; I think this one will have a few more chapters from Aristhre’s POV.
I’m also laying the groundwork for a sci-fi series, something with a military cyberpunk edge. I’ll be blunt: I want this to be my “day drinking series.” That’s a made-up term I coined in honor of a favorite writer. She has two series: one is measured and thoughtful, and the other is bat-sh*t crazy. I need that kind of balance in my life. We’ll see if I flinch, but my plan is to write a romance with a dynamic that’s a little unhealthy, but a whole lot of fun. Like eating a sheet cake with the one you love—if you both use your bare hands and no napkins.
