General Update Apr 2020

Yo guys. Wanted to let you know I'm not dead.
If you're wondering where I've been for most of the month, I've been having family issues.

On YouTube I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was looking after my ailing mother for a while. According to the nurse that visited her, she had Covid19. Luckily no one else has shown symptoms so far, and she's now fully recovered and fit.

Now my father is ill with Pneumonia and stuck in hospital because his lungs are full of fluid and he finds breathing difficult. He tested negative for Covid though, and hopefully it stays that way.

This Covid thing in general is a HUGE motivation killer, and I'm sorry that it's taking so long for me to get my groove back.  I hope you can bear with me and continue your patience, since I really want to be active again.

Also, I've got a concerning technical issue on my hands at the moment (pic related), which doesn't help at all. My PC has been randomly restarting itself and giving me these "thermal shutdown" excuses, but I know for a fact that the PC isn't overheating.

This is greatly frustrating because it could happen at any moment.
This means I can't trust recording sessions, since the PC might restart at any point during a reaction.

I had this issue last summer, but I went into the BIOS and disabled the system responsible. That seemed to make the problem go away entirely. But last month there was an electrical power surge in our area, something that doesn't normally happen.

After we got power restored and I was able to turn my PC back on, I noticed the clock had been reset. I'm now starting to wonder if every other setting was reset as well. I might need to make the same BIOS change that I did last time.

But the catch right now is... I don't remember how to get to the BIOS screen.
I forgot what I did before. The suggested hotkeys for my system (HP Envy) don't work on start up. So I have no idea what I pressed last time.

I have to figure this out before I can confidently record anything new!
