The preceding line ends with "...worthy of the stone." The following line is "I was six, I think, first time I touched a funerary stone." So talking about "seeing you" doesn't fit. Why would she go from talking about a stone, to talking about seeing the people, to talking about the stone? Do you have a copy of the official script, or are you assuming because her character appears to be looking down at them?

Youtube got me watching other reactions to 1x12 again and most of them quickly reminded me that there is a blatantly WRONG SUBTITLE soon after the start of Maarva's speech. The specific phrase was not included in your edited reaction, so I'm only commenting here on the full version. At 33:00 she says "Strange, I... feel as if I can see you." It's quite obvious that she is saying "YOU" [implied collective plural pronoun, equivalent to "you all" or "y'all" ], and yet the OFFICIAL Disney subtitles somehow WRONGLY render it "feel as if I can see it." Clearly, this was a computer-generated subtitle and was sadly overlooked in editing [assuming they even bothered hiring an editor or at least paying them a fair wage]. Just another example of a big corporation skimping out on paying actual human workers for their labor.

Oh and if you want more musical analysis, there's a Youtube channel that analyzed each episode, plus deeper dives into the different themes for each character or group/culture and beyond. I don't always agree with him, and his Western classical music theory background is both asset and sometimes also a handicap of bias, but no other channel does what he does in such detail. At 29:39 Bix hearing that specific part of the melody is analyzed in his video on ep 12 https://youtube.com/watch?v=0ql3cpHeaUk , and the again in a recap of S1 prior to S2's release, but with new revelations from rewatch: https://youtube.com/watch?v=eM0AHTU5fJ8 (It might be even more emotionally striking to note that hearing the funeral music could possibly be the first time the news and certainty of Maarva's death is revealed to Bix.) The channel then becomes a bit too harsh (imho) on S2 even though he acknowledges the music director had to be unexpectedly replaced. But it's still very interesting for insights into how much effort was put into all aspects of the show, as a masterpiece of film art.

(LOL at 01:30 - Yes, that's just the Star Wars branding. It plays in front of the other shows in the franchise too, just like Marvel and DC have a similar intro sequence for all their properties. Late capitalism is increasingly more about spectacle than actual substance. Andor is a fortunate exception to the rule.) 01:59 Happy to see in your full reaction here that the different title screen music immediately grabbed your attention. It was probably played by the very same actors who were in the funeral marching band. The instruments used were obviously Earth-based instruments with "alien" decorations on them just to "canonically" mark them as otherworldly, and which might seem a bit "sloppy" or "lazy" for a show that usually puts so much attention to detail, but there was actually a practical reason for this. Tony Gilroy required that all the actors learn the instruments and play them live on set. He wanted fully diegetic music for the scene, and for the marching band to sound non-professional. The slightly out-of-tune quality, like a high-school or amateur band, was absolutely intentional. These are hardworking Ferrix citizens, who mostly only play their instruments outside of their daily jobs. 10:01 I'm curious/confused - was Milena asking about Korv (the ISB spy Cinta eventually kills) and his "cover" as a paying customer at the cafe/bar Cinta works at? Or was she still wondering about Mon Mothma and the eventual money coming from Sculden and the arranged marriage? If the latter, I think Mon fears that her initial 400K withdrawal - which here in this episode she pins on her husband's gambling addiction - needs to be addressed more immediately. Meanwhile, she probably doesn't want to start using Sculden's connections until AFTER her daughter's engagement is fully agreed upon and finalized. All future "donations" to the rebellion will then be laundered through Sculden, as the husband's gambling habit would probably be less believable as a long-term cover story. Back to the symbolism of the funeral and its music - Gilroy and others are definitely basing it on funerals from resistance movements throughout history. You will find resonances with Black Panther funerals [not the Marvel character, but the radical leftist political party active in the late 1960s to -70s in the USA], Irish Republican Army ["Provo"] funerals during the "Troubles" in Northern Ireland, and even specific instances such as during the Portuguese MFA overthrow of the fascist Estado Novo dictatorship, where funeral songs were used as literal signals for resistance actions. And of course countless other examples. PS - Maybe you already know and are used to it, but don't bother trying to argue with Americans who disagree with you politically, and especially not on fully-public platforms like Youtube. I speak from experience as a leftist who was born and raised in the USA. We are quite simply the most politically and historically ignorant imperialist citizenry ever. EVER. Completely lacking in self-awareness. Unless you know the person in real life and preserving the relationship is important to you, it is generally pointless to try and debate with an American who disagrees with you politically. This includes both Murican liberals and conservatives.
