Monster Episode 6 Reaction

not sure if you guys are looking for more anime at the moment, but if you do i would highly highly recommend "Orb: on the movements of the Earth". It's a beautiful and hard hitting story about humankind and helping each other to reach a common goal. I don't want to spoil too much but its definitely a series you guys would adore. Also heavily character-based, so i think it would fit you guys :p

I love it when Lola goes into mother of a teenager testing her mode, "I'm not even going to talk about this"😆

i watched this show soo long ago, over 10 years ago, and watching it again with you girls feels like the first time. This show is so good, so inmersive

Now if we can get episode 7 that would be great lol.. ok ok I won’t be greedy. Ahh I see you are going to have a hard time with some characters lol not because they are unliakable but because I can see already that you might be find them likeable or really nice people. I feel this is when you girls start putting some small pieces regarding to who Johan really is or what really is his motivation. I love the small doses of information we get about him from different sources or people.. ahh I can’t wait until you girls learn more about these characters in general :)

I've said this before, but I'll reiterate how much I love that Urasawa actually makes the effort to make the story feel like it's actually happening in Central Europe, instead of other Anime in which the location seems almost irrelevant besides some background imagery. The historic landmarks, the phenotypes of different people, the way characters talk to each other, the way Tenma's personality contrasts with European culture in somen regards, the fashion, the historical context, the way migrant tensions are portrayed in regards to the Turks, all of that is incredibly well done and quite atypical for a japanese mangaka because the average japanese reader generally doesn't even care that much about all those details. Urasawa actually visited Germany and the Czech Republic with his editor to do proper research for Monster, and that becomes almost obvious when you read/watch the Manga/Anime.

Bro their stress levels going to 1000 cracks me up I love this show because of how deep the intrigue goes. We're not in Haikyuu territory anymore.

I want to praise Urasawa again for his research work. Heidelberg Castle is exactly like the real thing. It's a great place to celebrate New Year's Eve and you have a really nice view of the city. I always loved going to the castle as a child. Here are a few comparison pictures: https://www.reddit.com/r/MonsterAnime/s/vAyPpUojeQ

Its a MUCH MUCH better examination of character and morality than Death Note ever was. Death Note was just more flashy and shorter so it stuck out more in the minds of the many teenagers who first watched it back then. It honestly wasnt until I was in my early 20s that I went back to Monster and really appreciated it.

I wish ppl spoke about Monster in the same way they speak about Death Note. I am not finished with Monster yet, but unless it falls apart in the last 15 episodes i have enjoyed this experience 100x more than the end of Death Note
