I watched it in a movie theater in Zagreb and I must say it was really fucking dope and also surprisingly empty. There were like 30-40 people in a theater that has like a 100+ capacity. I thought it would be packed tbh, however, more room and less embarrassment for me and my friends to bawl our eyes out.

I'm so glad Haikyuu let me find your channel because it's such a delight to watch your reactions, not only on Haikyuu, but also other series! The dilemma of choosing your top fave character is so relatable because they're all just so loveable! Love how most of them actually got their shining moments and every time, there's a line or two that's worthy to remember. I've rewatched this movie a bunch of times but omg seeing Lola cry so much made me cry along HAHAHA anyway, it was great watching your reaction to the series so far! Looking forward to your reaction vids when we all get the next adaptation, whatever that may be (a movie, OVA, or a season)!

The show gives so much character development and a great finale with Seijoh that it's my favorite season. Season 4 is actually the weakest in my opinion. Hinata and Kageyama are the only ones who really develop here, which is not enough for me compared to other seasons. The best story arc will be season 5 anyway. It's just too good. Like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood's finale, it makes me feel like I got everything I wanted and better.

Girls, thank you so much for this reaction series!! and thank you to everyone who voted for this show and made this possible 🧡 I couldn't be part of it because I first saw Haikyuu less than a year ago. I was going through a really difficult time, and for some reason, I thought it would be a good time to watch this show, and it was a great decision :) Haikyuu means a lot to me now, and it makes me happy that more people like us are discovering it, it's so precious and heartwarming. While I would have preferred a season over a movie, I think it still delivers. That being said, I hope the second movie is a bit longer, though that depends on how much they want to cover. After that, I really hope they make a season... I understand that movies make more money, but I think the ending of Haikyuu, which is so beloved by fans, deserves better. And that's all Im saying about the ending, I'm sure that when the time comes for you to know the conclusion, you won't be disappointed!! (Btw, I don't remember if it's been mentioned, but do you guys know that in addition to the movie, there will be some OVAs coming?) About the characters, I completely understand that it's very difficult to choose favorites since they're all so damn loveable. My ranking is always changing, but I'd say my absolute top 3 will always be Hinata, Oikawa, and Kuroo. I love those characters so much... Personally, I need to see Oikawa have the last laugh lol. And when it comes to seasons, I rank them 4 > 2 > 3 > 1. Like Milena said, season 2 made me fall in love with the show, the training camp is pure gold, and Aoba Johsai 2 stirred so many emotions in me. On the other hand, season 4 solidified Hinata as my favorite character and introduced my favorite rival team (Atsumu Miya, they could never make me hate you). This comment is getting a little long, sorry!! so I'll just say THANK YOU for loving Haikyuu so much and appreciating and understanding each of its characters. 2025-06-01 20:09:42 +0000 UTCDidn't want to get into it before the movie because the movie is the most we get of him, but Kuroo is my favorite of the whole cast. When I initially started I was wondering how they were going to make 'scripted' volleyball interesting enough to gain the popularity that this show has, especially when you consider it is a sport where you need to win by two, so if you're really keeping track and they way they tend to play up the intensity of the last points, you'll never be surprised. But it's like you said "I love how we're not even looking at the score, it doesn't matter" because this story is packed full of joyful characters and story lines, and I think that one of the biggest things this show/creator wants to say is "Look at how cool/fun volleyball is", which I think Kuroo embodies beautifully. He clearly enjoys it and is a skilled player, but his MOTIVATION is never 'I want to be the best' or even 'I want to keep playing more'. His two biggest goals through the show have been 'I want to gift my coach the game he has been looking for' and 'I want these kids (Tsukki/Kenma) that I see potential in to enjoy this and love this the way so many of us do'. The only bit of anime merch I own is the red Nekoma shirt with Kenma and Kuroo on the front with the team motto of Connect on the back. Love that character, adore this show, will think back fondly on so many moments for life.

If they adapt it like Season 1, it will probably only be 12/13 episodes, but if they want to expand the elements, give us more of the games, then 24 episodes is easily possible. The pacing in the final story arc is just incredibly fast.

They cut out a lot of scenes of both the actual match as well as the strategic insight from the audience and players themselves. When reading the manga it genuinely felt like Hinata was being choked. Lastly, I don't think the Movie does the game of volleyball any justice because the Manga really explores the importance of rotations in volleyball and I don't think the Movie delivers on it. I am happy you enjoyed it though.

But seeing haikyuu win was finally the push for me to watch it. I’ve had friends recommend it to me and I’ve seen other YouTubers I really love speak so highly of it. I’m not a fan of sports anime that’s why I never felt the need to watch it but I’m so glad I did. I really fell in love with the characters and humor of the show. I loved this movie despite the criticism. I really hope however the ending is adapted really has love put into it even if we have to wait many years lol. Despite all that I’m SO excited for you girls to watch monster. I truly believe it will enter one of your favorite shows of all time by the end. I feel like not a lot of anime (especially in recent years) has such amazing and nuanced storytelling/characters. I promise any of the times milena might have to cover her ears or eyes out of fear will be worth it!! 😭🤣 (I promise it’s not as scary as ppl were making it out to be in the poll comments) Also can I say I cannot believe it’s already been almost a year since that poll. They cut out SO much and I understand the desire to not know what was missed in order to better feel about the film but in a story like Haikyuu every character, every interaction matter. I'm not talking small moments, I'm talking big character moments. There's an entire backstory about coach Nekomata and old coach Ukai. That's the type of stuff they got rid of in order to do a highlight of the story in 1:30h. I enjoyed the film I did but it absolutely does not hold a candle to the manga match. Because it's a movie and they have to make it coherent they mainly only focused on Nekoma with some Hinata and Tsuki moments but in the manga Karasuno is properly highlighted and Nekoma more too! I am going to link you to the manga strictly when the match starts and it ends with chapter 325. You read right to left, top to bottom. The mangaka's panelling is very smooth and easy to understand and once you get used it you won't even notice you're reading the match. Please if this film is anything to show then they will cut so much of this genuinely perfect complete story. Sorry if I sound pushy but I just know how much you girls love this story and it would be a shame for you to not experience it in its entirety just because of greedy anime committee people that want to get money through the movies which they are considering how successful this movie was in Japan. https://comick.io/comic/haikyuu/Ag5rp-chapter-293-en
