I went into the movie blind (no spoilers and didn't read the manga first) and I enjoyed it tremendously. Sure, there are details and beats left out, but the overall vibe and message of that story is very well-delivered.

I would have understood if the movie had been 2 hours long, but it's just 1 hour and 20, so it doesn't make any sense D: . So I'm hoping they learned from this mistake and the next movie will actually be longer. But don't worry, the movie is still great. It's just that crybaby manga lovers like us felt a bit betrayed haha.
