i remember seeing that scene where Takeda sensei announced the news for Kageyama's invitation, and then waiting YEARS for season 4 to arrive. the next season is great, possibly even better writing, but it did have some horrible production timing with the pandemic. the journey is not over yet but season 3 was absolutely tremendous and damn them for cutting content to finish off the adaptation with movies

I have a bone to pick with some haikyuu fans who told me the anime was complete with the movies coming out "soon" during the monster/haikyuu poll when I said monster should go first since haikyuu isn't finished yet.

I also love the respect behind "I'll beat you next time" showing he values the abilities of Hinata and Kags so highly he expects to play them in the PROS. Or maybe college? Not sure if Japanese college VB is competitive enough for JJ to go instead of right to pros.

2025-02-21 04:38:18 +0000 UTCThere's so much I want to say about this episode and the show as a whole, but I'll just say I love the final scene with Shiratorizawa so much. Ushiwaka isn't there to give everyone advice, he's there to tell each of his teammates exactly what they need to hear. And Goshiki didn't need to hear about his weaknesses. Ushiwaka knows that he knows them well, and there's no chance that he isn't going to work hard. What Goshiki needed to hear was that his hero believes in him.

Karasuno being a mediocre team for the past few years wasn't necessarily due to the talent pool but more so the fact that once Grandpa Ukai retired his influence went with him. It's great to see how reconnecting with Nekoma impacted the team so much and how the town is now starting to rally behind them. Incredible reactions as always. I really appreciate your guys' appreciation for the series. <3

I BAWLED my eyes out when i first saw this. The moment of the 3rd years hugging…talk about making a moment feel as REAL as a live sporting event and winning a championship. AHHH ABSOLUTE PEAK 😭🙏
