Men Under 40: Wealth v Fitness - What’s The Smarter move?

If you are in great shape and wealthy, you will likely feel amazing because you’ve ticked two major boxes that form the foundation of a fulfilling life. These two elements—fitness and financial success—are often seen as essential for a great male life because they provide several significant benefits:
Attracting Partners: Physical fitness and financial stability can boost your confidence and attractiveness, making it easier to form and maintain romantic relationships.
Feeling Youthful: Maintaining good physical health helps you feel younger and more energetic, allowing you to enjoy life more fully and for a longer period.
Positive Outlook: Both financial security and good health contribute to a positive mental state, reducing stress and increasing overall happiness.
Freedom from Limitations: When you’re financially secure and physically fit, you have fewer constraints. This freedom allows you to pursue your passions and interests without the typical barriers of financial or physical limitations.
But Here’s The Kicker
Getting in the best shape you possibly can requires a high level of commitment and dedication. It is hard to do this when:
You have low funds for a consistent, great diet
You have a wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend
You have a full-time job
You have bills to pay
You don’t have parents funding your life
You have a business you’re trying to build
I’ve received a lot of kickback whenever I say this, but if a man has not achieved his wealth, finance, or career goals...
*HE SHOULD NOT BE IN THE GYM FOR MORE THAN 1 HOUR, 5-6 DAYS A WEEK.*
He should be there 2 times a week, and each session should be a full-body workout. Three days per week maximum.
The only exception to this is if he is trying to build a business around fitness or if he is some kind of personal trainer. Other than that, most guys trying to build success should not be in the gym longer than 45 minutes for 5-6 days a week.
You simply won’t have the time or the energy to do both effectively.
It’s better To Focus on Wealth And Success First
Building true wealth and success is significantly harder and more time-consuming than building a nice body.
You can achieve a fit and attractive physique within 3 years of consistent training and proper eating, but it often takes about 8-12 years on average to build substantial wealth and career success. Around 5 years on the minimum end.
Ignoring the pursuit of wealth and success is not practical, as this is not an area of life that can be achieved in a few weeks. Achieving success in business or a career requires nearly all your time, energy, focus, money, and attention. Therefore, it's logical to prioritise the more challenging and time-intensive goal first.
Work on the Hardest One First
When you have financial stability, you can:
easily hire a personal trainer
Afford a great diet personalised for your fitness goals.
Buy the best fitness supplements
Hire doctors to help you use the best fitness steroids in a safe way.
All of these things will guarantee you an amazing physique and health. Money simplifies the process of maintaining fitness and health.
Dedicate a massive amount of your time to making money and building success in your business or career.
Here’s a practical approach:
Get a shitty gym membership:
Train 2 or 3 times a week, focusing on full-body workouts. The goal here is not to build the most amazing physique but to maintain a reasonable level of fitness and health. This is just for maintenance.

How To Balance It?
People often believe that achieving ‘balance’ in life means giving equal weight to every area.
In this context, many think they should dedicate 50% of their time and effort to the gym and 50% to building wealth. However, this is a misconception.
True balance means allocating your time and resources in a way that adds up to 100%, but the distribution doesn’t have to be equal. It’s about finding the right ratio that fits your current priorities and goals.
For instance:
90/10: If your primary focus is building wealth, you might spend 90% of your time and energy on your career or business, and 10% on maintaining your fitness.
20/80: If fitness is a secondary priority but still important, you might allocate 20% of your efforts to staying healthy and 80% to your professional goals.
30/70: If you value a more balanced approach, you could aim for 30% on fitness and 70% on career development.
60/40: If you’re at a stage where your career or business is more established, you might spend 60% on professional endeavours and 40% on personal health and fitness.
etc....
This can apply to any area of your life, not only fitness and success.
The key is to adjust the ratios based on what stage you are in life and what your immediate goals are.
Balance doesn’t mean equal, it means appropriately weighted. Strive for a 100% distribution that reflects your personal and professional goals.
If you prioritise fitness, you can’t really get wealth from that unless you are a fitness model, fitness influencer or personal trainer. But when you have to money, the fitness can be unlocked almost overnight by hiring the right people to get you right.
From age 18 up to about 34, I believe most men specifically should dedicate majority of their time building success and wealth within their careers and/or business.
Fitness is massively important and Im a massive advocate of being in great shape, but it requires a lot of free time, a lot of consistent training and eating very good in order to build a very nice physique, however it does not trump wealth.
The only people who should make fitness the top priority are people who are striving to become some kind of fitness influencer, fitness model, professional bodybuilder or personal trainer.
For everyone else, wealth and success should be the main priority when young (18-34) then as you become more established and more rich, you can increase more into the fitness.
Think about it.
