Next Week:
Complex Watch Renders: We'll look at taking a watch model and creating some stunning styleframes then seeing how we can impliment it into more complex scenes as well as doing different variations.
Slicing Render Times with AI Upscaling: I will then be realising another tutorial on how I have cut all my render times in half utilising AI upscaling. Have you noticed? Exactly... I've been rendering all animations in 72...

Let me know if any of you want to see more of these. I'm always making them because they're so much fun and generally quite easy to get a good creative flow going.
Happy to make many more tutorial variations on these but I don't want to re do the same thing over and over, if you guys are happy to see more of it I'll make more!
2024-07-02 10:45:30 +0000 UTC View PostBuying 3D Models is a huge part of my workflow. Especially when it comes to Dailies or Instagram Renders.
Re using old models I have bought and leveraging them for different ideas is something I do frequently too.
Andrey Lebrov made a brilliant video about it years ago. These assets are made for us to buy, make our own and make awesome renders with! They're always worth the investment.
2024-06-21 14:00:12 +0000 UTC View PostI have touched on this before but I just want to go over my Render Settings for Octane.
My Redshift settings aren't too different when comparing but that's for another post.
Render Settings are so simple. Don't over complicate it. I am nearly always using 2048 samples for 80% of my renders except really tricky ones. I might push them to 3000-4000.
Never any higher. It will not actually eliminate the noise in your ...
2024-06-20 12:43:49 +0000 UTC View PostWhen I was new to 3D I spent years working in messy folders and not setting up folder structures appropriately.
Most of this was due to not being taught any different, and my process would become more messy the further I progressed into a project.
--> Why do we want a folder structure? (If that isn't obvious)
Most of it comes down to not just a neat working pattern. But making your workflow as autona...

2024-06-18 20:33:49 +0000 UTC View PostHello! Hope you all are well.
I just took all my assets from my store and put them on here on the shop, they are all included in the membership!
Also I am going to take the project files from the tutorials and put them on there too so they're easier to find.
Many thanks! More tutorials on the way.

As an extension from my YouTube Tutorial I wanted to go over art directing the shapes of the cloth more in different ways as well as incorporating objects into the scene and how we can light them effectively.
Also take a look at retaining color attributes throug alembics.
H1 Sound x SKETCHY VISUALS SFX & Music Pack Vol 2
The first sound pack was very well recieved so we decided to do another one!
Having proper sound design on your animations takes them to an entirely new level. A lot of the time I find my renders don't even come to life until H1 puts sound on it.
Just like last time there is a sample pack attached!
If you use the code "2SKETCHYVISUALS25" You will get 25% off as a Patreon Subscriber.
For Part 2 of this tutorial we're making a scene similar to the Log Scene I made, I tried to not copy my exact render and instead create a variation to entise a more authentic workflow. Hope this one is easy to follow as it's a long one!
Following on from my tutorial on YouTube for the first part here on Pateron I am breaking down the creation of the bottle materials!

Now we're building the scene which we will incorporate the Coca Cola Assets into and then we can prepare our lighting.

In this part we start doing initial lookdev on the model.
This means we're focused on making all the textures primarily and doing some lighting to do some initial test renders before we take the model into larger scale scenes.
Having Lookdev scenes also means if we come back to use the model again in other scenes we have the lookdev version ready to go.

In the first lesson we are preparing the Folder Structure that will allow us to build a coherent render that's easy to access and navigate.

All the scene files from the first 4 part of my Nature Series.
Much more to come with this series soon..
The rest of the tutorials I will be making slightly different scenes built on the foundations of what I taught in these parts so not sure if I will call it something different or not yet. Most likely.
Initially wanted this to be a process video but I have been so keen to start making scene breakdowns as I feel they are almost as valuable as tutorials.
Really hope you enjoy this. Unfortunately no project file for this but hopefully this is just as useful.
Here are a few resources I mention in the video:
