Yeah you really show such empathy. “Couldn’t handle her shit” is such a decent way to describe someone who is suffering a mental health crisis. And you think she should have stayed and let little Hughie find her body when she finally topped herself? Her postpartum could have gotten so bad that she may have decided to top him too. Hughie was never unloved. And giving him an actual explanation and not asking for forgiveness but just understanding, isn’t using PPD as a “bargaining chip.” I think that’s just you projecting. You say you’ve had “plenty” of suicides in your life, then that should make you more understanding of how much strength it takes to ask for help when you feel so worthless that you would rather be dead.

I don't need to do any research, I've had plenty of suicide in my life. I'll never respect someone who uses their mental health as a bargaining chip. I'm fine with Hughie forgiving her, it was the right thing to do. She's still a bad person and her excuse was self-centered.

You should have some empathy or maybe do some research into PPD before judging, because feelings of worthlessness and suicidal ideation are actual symptoms. She wasn’t kidding when she said that leaving was a matter of life and death for her.

2024-07-11 07:32:04 +0000 UTCFrenchie, Kimiko, Hughie, and Starlight's plotlines felt like they were struggling with the runtime and needed something for them to do which in turn made them either repeats or just plain boring. It made the episodes basically have to be carried by A-Train's subplot, Homelander, and Butcher while MM had to wrangle the others for the scenes that needed to happen. It's no wonder Ep6 is being loved so much because it was a return to form and had The Boys doing what they're best at while plotlines and characters from the previous episodes were finally done.
