Just to be clear, I wasn't suggesting they watch all 10 episodes (although I'm hoping they'll watch a few episodes... unlike the reactors who skipped 100% of the episodes). My point was that they could probably make even boring parts entertaining, in the unlikely event that they watch everything. LM reactions are always fun to watch and insightful, so even watching paint dry would be an experience if it had their commentary. 😅

2024-02-10 15:11:14 +0000 UTCI think these 6 mini-stories (8.1, 8.2, 7.1, 4, 5.1, 10) are sufficient and clearly the best of the 20. Especially 4, 5.1 and 10 are extremely important and it's really unclear to me why they didn't make it into the adaptation. Probably the chapters that were adapted for TCC 10 were not yet published when WIT Studio started production on this show and had already removed stories 4 and 5.1 from the script and there was no time for changes. Furthermore, if they watch the rest of the TCC mini-stories who don't really add much new to the story, the anime would end up being really too long and we have a very very very very long list of anime recommendations for the short anime slot: Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, Eighty Six, Odd Taxi, Your Lie in April, Ping Pong the Animation, Pluto, Berserk 1997, Tatami Galaxy, A Place Further than the Universe, The Promised Neverlands (Only Season 1), Banana Fish, Rainbow Nisha, Vivy, Usagi Drop, Cowboy Bebop, Mononoke, Psycho Pass (Season 1), Parasyte, Erased, ...

Later on, when she's in the mirror, she beckons him to approach with her finger, which is how you do it when you're telling a pet (like your dog) to come near you.

And yet, I feel like Milena and Lola could turn the less enjoyable parts into an entertaining reaction all the same. Another channel I follow made those episodes Patreon exclusive content, but most reactors I follow skipped and/or postponed all 10 episodes. I've noticed that people keep encouraging reactors to skip Season 1.5 entirely because "it's anime-only filler except the last episode." I'm happy to see not everyone is so uninformed; as you've correctly pointed out, most of the shorts come from the manga.

2024-02-10 01:36:18 +0000 UTCRanking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage was released in 2023 and is a collection of mini-stories from the manga that were cut short or omitted from the adaptation. Each episode consists of up to three mini-stories. Most of them are really not of great importance and rather banal. Still, there were mini-stories and two full episodes in there that I feel were important and definitely helped me understand characters better and close the gap at the end of the story. I'm really surprised why other Reaction channels haven't watched these. My impression so far was that all the mini-stories were rather banal and just a bonus. Here a possible order: - Epiosde 1 - 8 - TCC 8 - Epiosde 9 - 17 - TCC 7.1, 4, 5.1 - Epiosde 18 - 23 - TCC 10 The only problem is that the opening and intro of The Treasure Chest of Courage spoils the end of the story, both with subtitles and with its images. And especially for the part between episodes 17 and 18 there is the problem that for episodes 7 and 5 only the first mini-story should be watched, but the following one is a mini-story that takes place after the end and thus spoils everything. To avoid the problem, I quickly cut Episode 8.5 (TCC 8) and Episode 17.5 (TCC 7.1, 4, 5.1) myself and replaced the opening and ending with the ones from the anime. 2024-02-10 01:19:00 +0000 UTCYeah so basically there isn't much more source material beyond where the season ends, so they did a little 10 episode season of mostly "filler" content that takes place during or before the events of this season. So yeah I just wanna say I think y'all should probably just watch it in your own time, it's absolutely worth watching (we feel similarly about filler in that I don't need everything to contribute to plot) but I doubt the demand for reactions to it would be high anyway.
