I just love this episode! and also the fact that hisoka is teaming up with them is kinda weird but cool at the same time 😭 it’s almost the end of this arc and the beginning of chimera arc and I’m definitely not ready

The way the girls have picked up on the love story between Gon and Killua, I can't wait for their reaction to the next episode. It has to be you.

It's exactly as Lola said. Hisoka likes a certain quality. That quality is present on children = attracted to children = pedo.

Lol even if they saw this comment , it's literally impossible. The girls are the most observant viewers ever but this is too out of context. You are just panicking. I get what you are saying and it's a very important point you are raising but there's literally noway, for a bunch of reasons if you just think about it for a second

Haikyu would be so perfect for the girls. Guys it's literally the perfect match. My boys will be flying every episode

Please can’t we stop hyping up moments that they don’t know about yet. It was bad enough they already known about the chimera ant arc but you guys can’t help yourself, can you?

Thank you for sharing some extra context. I don’t know much about Japanese culture except what little I learned from anime/manga(I’m sure I can’t count on that necessarily being accurate by any means). I have noticed children going off on their own in anime and games a lot. First time I remember seeing this was in the Pokémon game/anime as a kid and I remember being a bit shocked and envious. But I do think their is a distinction between allowing children the freedom to explore as they like and abandoning them, forcing them to contend with being without a parent or both. I think giving them freedom gives them a choice to be independent while knowing they have support should they ever need it

There is a moment I can't wait for Lola to see, given her feelings about Ging. We all know it, the best moment in all of HunterxHunter. I can't wait for it.

In Japan, there is a saying, "Let your children travel."
Japan is one of the most peaceful countries in the world, so there are many parents who let even small children go out and experience errands alone for growth.
I also didn't know until recently that it's rare for elementary school students to come home from school alone.
The story may be a little different, but I'm sure there will be this effect that the setting where there are no parents and the setting where the child has never met the parents often appears in the manga.
That said, parents who abandon parenting in Japan are criticized.
Is it an old culture of directing comics and dramas? 😄

Was gonna say this!
I think this really ties back into a major theme of the entire show. I think the Vinland Saga/AOT line “everyone’s a slave to something” applies strongly to HxH as well

I think you both landed on something towards the end of the discussion that was an important reminder for me. Gon is continually searching for whatever it was that is so “awesome” about being a hunter that it would make someone abandon their child. Whenever Gon reaches a new level I’ll probably wonder if he is thinking “wow, is this what Ging felt and couldn’t give up even for me?”

Hisoka is arroused by Gon and Killua. Gon and Killua are twelve. Ergo, Hisoka is a pedophile.

I'm a Japanese reader and a big fan of Togashi.
Hisoka just likes fighting, not children.
In comics, it is often based on characters who like to fight for a long time, and Dragon Ball is a good example.
Hisoka feels the potential to become stronger against Gon and Killua, as he likes Chloro.
If many combat characters are popular in the manga published in "Shonen Jump". Hunter Hunter is no exception.
There are so many Hisoka fans, so I'd be happy if you like me.

There are traits that I admire about Ging and those that I don't. I'm pretty balanced on him. Personally speaking, I sometimes envy what Gon gets to have after I grew up with an actual terrible father. It's all relative of course and I think show actually does a good job of capturing that feeling of having weird, internal dilemmas. Also, Lola would probably be an emitter.

Excited we're at the dodgeball portion of this arc. There's so many moments in this episode and the ones that follow that really inform Gon and Killua's individual character.
Such as Gon's reaction to hearing his dad said to not go easy on him or his reaction to getting nailed in the head with the dodgeball. Gon's grit and determination defines him.
