we’re finally starting s2, milena will upload the review for s1 when she finishes editing it

The Bear 2x01 Reaction

Comments

Randomly came across their reactions to the first season on yt and here I am, I couldn't miss the entirety of the second season through cuts because every piece of this season is perfect tv!! Glad to be here!!

Ozzy S

After hearing the discussion at the end, I'm SO amped to watch them see all the growth from the characters this season. Season 2 of the Bear managed to surpass season 1 & i feel like that is SO RARE coming off such a stunning first season, they have such a beautiful way of getting the viewers to immediately care about every single character in short spans of time. It's really impressive & I know the girls are gonna freak over every ep but especially 6-10. So excited.

Taylor Gardner

I can already hear all the "baby boy" especially for a certain character! I. CAN. NOT. WAIT!! This season was a masterpiece!

amrcole08

Gotcha, I appreciate the perspective. She’s one of my favorite characters and I’ve been trying to piece her motivations together

Waiting every day for more the bear lol

Michael Cannon

Haha np. I've seen the whole show yeah. I don't want to say too much cuz people ready comments, its hard to say exactly how much her relationship with her father affected her decisions but I think she wouldnt have charged into cooking school + the catering business if she didnt feel she had full support from her dad. He gives "well meaning dad who doesn't quite get it and just wants her to be stable and happy but doesn't know how to help"

Kara

this season was crafted with so much heart, cant wait for yall to see it. every second counts!

Sebastian

Thank you! I put a lot of pride into my edits for everyone, I’m glad it doesn’t go unnoticed haha.

I also edit reactions, and I told the reactor I edit for that your edits for Kyle Katarn's Andor videos were some of the cleanest reaction editing I've seen 😃

XanderWhat

Season 2 is amazing so far I can’t wait to finish the final episode

Jesse S

Oh no you’re totally right, me failing hard lol they literally mentioned it in previous episodes You’ve seen the full show right? How do you think her relationship with her father informs her life and decision making?

When you say "her initial career in the CIA".... and im reeaally sorry if you know this and I'm reading wrong 😅 but when Sydney says she was at CIA she means the Culinary Institute of America, the private cooking college she studied at.

Kara

I saw everyone mentioning it! Will be sure to check it out!

I do! I also host a podcast interviewing reactors. I actually just had Lola and Milena on last week! https://youtu.be/6BWNskyPLCs?si=JHXYrsFCNUUjiVRm

They're not watching it like we watch it, they're watching it as a job where they record their reactions + discussions as part of a schedule. I'm very anti-surprise but I think it'd be a worse experience for them to plan around every ep being 25-30 mins and then they run out of time to discuss, but maybe I'm wrong 🤷

Kara

Seen your account before, don’t you edit for Imon Snow or other channels? Season 2 hype has got me excited af

6 and 7 should be watched back to back no matter what for reasons.

David Holmes

Why would you say this???? I was really happy and surprised when I learned about that episode, and you took that surprise away from them.

Michael M

lol 'goblin mode' haha. It's a very apt term for it.

Camzeee

Wow I’m pissed at friends for not making me catch up on the show sooner… so fucking good… That Tina hug was everything I needed, love the evolving Richie discussion. Appreciate how sensitive they continue to be to him I’m curious how people read Sydney and her relationship with her father, saw all his meds in the cabinet last season. Is she in a caretaker role for him? What aspects (if any) of her relationship with him affect her drive as an adult? Her initial career in the CIA maybe leads me to believe that she was possibly trying to work for a grander larger life, realized it wasn’t for her, became a chef but continued to aspire for more while working at The Beef with all her efforts to overhaul the restaurant

Welcome back!!! If you're going to batch-watch Season 2, you should know that episode 6 is over an hour long (don't want you to run out of time 🙏). My recommendation would be 3 batches: 1) Watch 2, 3, 4, 5 [118 mins] 2) Watch 6, 7 [100 mins] 3) Watch 8, 9, 10 [112 mins] If you're gonna do 2 batches, you just have to decide where to split. If you split after 6 (so 2-6 then 7-10) both batches are ~3 hours. I would not goblin-mode all 6.5 hours 😂

Kara

really exited for this season. people were not exaggerating when they said it's a masterpiece. i'm glad august is ending so my schedule will be less hectic and i'll be able to start catching up with your videos.

sand_fl

So excited for you two to see this season and hopefully you can appreciate it like you mentioned appreciating Better Call Saul.

Paul Walker

as much as i loved s1, s2 eclipses it in every way. enjoy.

cheech

Season 2 is great. I liked it a lot more than Season 1. Great development for everyone.
