Makes no sense to me that if Kurapika believes strongly enough it would just work if he used it on the wrong person. Nen conditions don't usually have loopholes based on technicalities. The only gray area would be a former member who was still close but I doubt they'd be effected either.

Some anime’s catch up to the manga and have no more source material to adapt, so the Hunter X Hunter anime is waiting until the manga gets to a waaaay larger length so they have a lot more source material to adapt.

2023-08-21 09:28:46 +0000 UTCthe way I see it, currently, it's not that it's a hiatus (but I only caught up with the manga thins year so just my opinion), rather that Togashi cannot follow the updating schedule other manga follow, and instead releases about 1 volume (10 chapter) a year (at least it seems so rn). And an actual hiatus having happened due to his health worsening in 2018-2021. Supporting this is the fact that ch401 is finished (since march if I recall right), but will likely not be released until he made further progress (to 410), which will not be until 2024 imo. Saldy, seeing the proportion Succession is gearing to have, I feel like the manga might never finish.

2023-08-20 22:39:08 +0000 UTCAny other shonen would have had these last episodes be giant fights (with no one dying lol) The whole idea of the individual vs the collective, choosing between loyalty and personal connection, it’s done so well and we understand why they care so much about both We’re slowly spoonfed details about the Troupe but it all comes across so naturally through their interactions. Seeing how each of them reacts to Uvo’s death and their allegiance to the Spiders being tested is enough for us Chrollo has no identity outside of the troupe, outside of the evil things he does. Paku made the choice he wouldn’t have ever made but he would have respected it

They swore they would spend their lives exploring outside their village. The two of them were very similar to Gon and Killua, and that is why I really recommend you read Kurapika’s backstory since it really shows what life could have been like for him… and if he will get it one day. His story does not end with vengeance and eyeballs, at least he doesn’t view it that way. Rather he is confused I should say. The backstory is actually the first thing after the anime ends so you know for sure his adventure will be a grand one, one with friends and fun. Or he might die idk, it’s kinda not looking good for him at the moment lol.

2023-08-20 21:36:00 +0000 UTCHunter x Hunter Anime started in 2011 and ended in 2014 so if we reach 2024 meaning next year it will be 10 years since episode 148 aired, I personally believe the anime will come back but maybe just 24 episodes since there is some manga chapters they can adapt to 24 episodes form! Hunter x Hunter manga is in hiatus again it came back last year for few months! it has been in hiatus since 2017 until 2022 when it came back!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I think about it, Paku was the one who changed the future. If she didn't tell her friends what happened they would have fought and half the troupe would be dead.

It essentially hasn't seen consistent releases since like 2005, barring some stretches of a a couple of months here and there. As a fan I've basically given up on it ever seeing an actual ending.

2023-08-20 18:41:19 +0000 UTCYes the anime "ended" nicely at the end of a long arc but that's because the anime back then caught up to the manga and the mangaka Togashi fell ill from overwork. He only recently started picking up where he left off, which is right in the middle of a huge arc, two arcs after the final anime arc. So yes the story is ongoing. The mangaka's wife, who happens to be Sailor Moon's mangaka, has also taken to learning the art style in the event that something bad happens and he isn't able to continue. She knows enough about the story and her husband to continue it if that ever happens, but most definitely we'll see more of the story in the future.

Think about Shizuku, when she cleaned the auction room she thought everyone was dead but there was a survivor so her vacuum couldn't absorbe him...if Kurapika tried to imprison Hisoka with the chains he would have died
