2023-08-20 06:17:39 +0000 UTCThey're a play on a guardian angel trope, guardian demons. Gon and Killua are best friends therefore their older brothers, so to speak, are also best friends. The dynamic of Gon and Killua is wholesome whereas the dynamic of Hisoka and Illumi is weird af.

Illumi understands the value of allies but his nature limits who he can have as an ally. Him and Hisoka are both sociopaths who's objectives occasionally line up. They both know the other would kill them without hesitation if it would benefit them.

They are both monstrous, murderous psychopaths and yet they actually trust one another and help each other out when one of them needs help. Hisoka did not hesitate to call illumi for help and Illumi did not hesitate to help. As much as I love the core 4 group, I have always enjoyed whenever Hisoka and Illumi were together, their dymanic is very intriguing yet strange, lol.

And just like in One Punch Man everyone ignores this and pretends he's not even there. He's a comic relief character. Even his design is funny. Everyone else has a distinctive out of this world getup, yet Phinks just has a regular tracksuit.

2023-08-19 18:42:48 +0000 UTCMinor Spoilers: Feitan has a huge flaw in his Hatsu. He has to get hit to use it. Phinks knows this, and his Hatsu is the perfect counter to Feitan's. If he winds his arm up 100 times there would be nothing left of Feitan. A 14 wind up punch from Phinks had a similar effect to Uvo's Big Bang Punch. So I think it's more than fair to call Phinks the strongest in the group, he just needs to warm up his arm. Unlike Uvo who could bring out his full strength right away.

2023-08-19 08:52:00 +0000 UTCthe only thing you missed during all this arc (inconsequential since the reaction and the discussion were top tier anyways) is that each verse of the profecy is a prediction of a week. loosing half the limbs and going east are predictions for the next weeks to come. we're still in the week where uvo Died. that's why Chrollo said this was irrelevant and wasn't mentioned in the profecy
