2023-07-31 23:15:29 +0000 UTCI know that there's a lot of tv fans here, so I just wanted y'all to know that Angus Cloud (fez from euphoria) has passed away. He was only 25. Even if the show isn't your thing, he was extremely talented for his breakout role having no prior acting experience, not dissimilar to other actors from The Wire. Anyways, I just wanted to post about it coz I think it's such a tragic loss of a young life.

CEO happilly telling a group of retail employees that he's planning to move business online, to cut down on retail overhead and massively boost profits, and we're all sitting there thinking "mate, we work in your retail stores" Stringer is straight up telling his people that his goal is for them to lose their jobs. He's so out of touch with what they actually care about. They don't give a shit about Stringer and Avon's profits going up because they've got less territory, they're worrying about how they're going to make their own money. He's doing a good job of acting like a real CEO at least. He wants to run it like a legitimate business, but I guarantee that he's not going to be making redundancy payments to all the corner crews he's laying off. He'll pick and choose which parts he wants to be legitimate.

Plus it's funny that he called Poot ignorant, when in reality the only one ignorant in that room was him because he just refuses to acknowledge what world he is ACTUALLY apart of. It always amazes me with how smart Stringer is, he is just as dumb, lol. He truly believes he can turn a criminal organization into a fortune 500 company, and he believes everyone will follow in his footsteps but fails to realize, whatever game he is playing, the other competitors WILL NOT play it with him or play it his way.

So many great characters are introduced in these seasons, you haven't met my favorites yet but you did just meet 2 really great ones Bunny and Cutty. Bunny you have already seen but this was his official introduction in my opinion, also you met Carcetti (Littlefinger) who is also an interesting character. Let's also not forget a sneak peak into a character you will get acquainted with real well in the future.

At the start Herc is roleplaying as Shaft, a fictional detective / action hero, and that's Shaft's theme tune he's playing in his car. Basically he's being a goofy mf. Stringer's meeting: Poot low key called Stringer out for being a bitch because Stringer's preaching against holding corners and to their mind the only reason you'd just *give up* a corner to another crew is if you're a coward. It's essentially letting other crews walk all over you, so Stringer saying it's about the product sounds like he just doesn't understand this or is making excuses. Stringer's basically treating an illegal business the same as a legitimate business, but it doesn't really make sense to them (or me). There's a reason you don't see killings and shootouts over selling something like alcohol, but Stringer's acting like there's no such difference and he can just make selling dope as hassle free as anything else if he just treats it like something else.
