And in my opinion, Su is also to blame for them getting into the fight. When Lin told her Toph retired because of her Su didn't seem to show any guilt or remorse. Instead she invalidated Lin's feelings and mocked her insecurities. I get that she's frustrated that Lin hadn't moved on after all these years but for someone who claims that she's changed that was really uncalled for and immature.

I met her at a Comic Con once, she gave me an autograph and then banished me from the Fire Nation. She's awesome!

There's also that Lin was forced to be the parent because Toph abdicated the role. Lin was forced into a role she should not have had to take and her life path was essentially forced down one road because of that. Then her sister/daughter was miserable to handle and got away with everything; and the few times Toph interfered in their lives she sided with the misbehaving sister instead of the "responsible" one. It was an unfair position for Lin to be forced into.

I love that fact that you think that the guy with a new type of bending isn't the most interesting of their group. Just goes to show that this show isn't just shock and awe and really built around their characters, well in my opinion atleast.

Yeah, I feel like not many people pick up on that. And Suyin would be one of the few people who I'd trust to know if Aang ever learned metalbending or not.

Did you two just miss, that Korra is the very first metal bending Avatar? Yes Lin and Suyin's back story is pretty amazing with Toph as well. I loved that part, and Lin's anger is understandable, but she had to clear her emotions and past traumas to move forward, and now she did. Also Be patient ladies, many questions you have now will get answered in due time.

Lin was very harsh with Korra when she met her because she saw a young Suyin in her. I mean she smashed up a whole block and didn't face any consequences. That scene where she imagined Su talking to her but it was Korra made it really obvious.

I actually think some of Lins issues come from jealousy... Not a superficial type of jealousy, but one thats more subconscious and deeply rooted..., If you think about it, Lin lived her life exactly by the book. She followed all the rules, she excelled in school, followed her mom into the police force and even became chief of police... And yet shes miserable and lonely... Then you have Su who screwed up at every stage in life, but was handed tons of second chances.... Flash forward years later and Su seems to have it all... So I think theres a level of resentment about that. So from Lins perspective, she probably keeps thinking "I did everything right, and she did everything wrong, and yet shes the one who seemingly has everything."

Azula's voice, Grey Delisle-Griffin, has voiced a bunch of iconic american cartoon characters. she was Vicky from Fairly Odd Parents, Mandy from Billy and Mandy, and she's been voicing Daphne from Scooby Doo for the last two decades, among other things! truly an underrated american pop culture icon! once you connect those voices it actually becomes pretty easy to pinpoint her in things hahaha
