Early Access: New Small Mods

Update 10/28 - Better Coffee has been updated to fix an error that would occur if you were missing a pack that added more types of coffee or tea. Please re-download, especially if you don't have Get Together, City Living, Discover University, Snowy Escape, or Journey to Batuu installed.

Thanks to everyone who voted in the "Next Small Project" poll. I must admit the results surprised me, but there were some very clear winners. I've spent some time getting Pool Tweaks and Free Dorm Food Changes ready for public release since those were the ones you all were most interested in having. I've also gone ahead and prepared Autumn Hollow and Better Coffee, since those were pretty quick to polish. Additionally, this wasn't on the poll but it was simple to make and it deals with something that annoyed me for a while: Always Auto Lights. More details on what everything does below.

Pool Tweaks (requires Island Living)

• Lifeguards now show up to pools during the day. They behave pretty much identically to lifeguards from Beach venues, so are not actually very helpful. They are more interested in flexing and doing push-ups.
• Some pool guests will now go tanning if there are lounge chairs or beach towels present on the lot.
• Some pool guests are more likely to autonomously use pool floats (or jet skis if you decide to place one in the pool).
• Sims with the Goofball, Childish, or Bad Manners trait will autonomously prank suntanners and splash in the pool.
• If a bar is placed on the lot, a bartender will spawn to operate it during the day.
• If a food stand is placed on the lot, a vendor will spawn to operate it during the day.

Free Dorm Food Changes (requires Discover University)

• Roommates/dormmates who return with food will now bring pizza (base game and DU toppings) or sandwiches instead of a whole roast chicken or lobster.

Autumn Hollow (requires Vampires and Seasons)

• Trees and plants in Forgotten Hollow will have Autumn colors for the vast majority of the year.

Better Coffee

• All coffee, espresso, and energy drinks now give 40 Energy when consumed (up from 15 or 0 in some cases).
• Certain kinds of tea and matcha now give 20 Energy when consumed (up from 0).

Always Auto Lights

• Lights in Residential lots (including rentals, dorms, etc) now always default to Auto Lights instead of Always On.

These mods will stay in Early Access for a short time to gather feedback and as a thank you for all your support. Let me know if you run into any problems or if you think something ought to work a bit differently. Happy Simming!
