Hi everyone.
McRTX Tweaks patch rework is here! Improving Vanilla-Minecraft's ray tracing through various adjustments.
Check out images attached above or read the explanation of each feature below.
Improvements/adjustments to each and every Vanilla particle (for instance, rain, block destruction particle, mob death particle or even squid ink, overall, +100 particles are affected):
As you already know, particles are not ray traced and their brightness depends on vanilla lightning system, this makes particles clash with game's ray traced lightning and often appear too eye-catching or bright instead of being a subtle effect to enhance visuals, an example of this is nighttime with a campfire where the campfire smoke is brighter than anything else as it is affected by campfire's light level, or when breaking blocks, particles often appear too bright, this is massively improved by making them partially transparent, allowing them to blend in with the ray traced environment's lightning; particles that affect your gameplay and appear for short durations (e.g. player crit particle or villager anger) are still almost opaque, so players can quickly spot them.
Kelp bottom fix:
As seen in images, Kelp's bottom texture does not accept textures. This fix can be applied to any pack.
Eggs item fix:
This bug affects 13 of the newer mob's egg textures, making them appear red & yellow with ray tracing.
More Video Settings Options:
Because of this bug, players experience massive performance decreases with ray tracing, many players have already disabled it through options.txt file, but not all players are aware of the bug or the workaround and simply think ray tracing is demanding so their low framerates are expected, unlocking the ability to turn off Minecraft's VSync can help more players to go around this bug quickly and easily (which has been around for a year), if you haven't disabled VSync, do it now!
Tip: You can still have VSync turned on in Nvidia control panel, this can also help reduce input latency compared to using Minecraft's VSync.
A little backstory:
Everything in this pack was planned nearly a year ago to be a part of McRTX Tweaks patch, but unfortunately, I never got the chance to work on it until now, every (supposedly) improvement in McRTX Tweaks patch was merely subjective, it wasn't meant for everyone, so I decided Minecraft RTX Fix pack should be its own thing as it turned out to be something I would definitely recommend everyone to use with Vanilla RTX or Vanilla RTX Normals.
Notes:
This pack took longer than it should have to make, mainly because of Minecraft's constant crashes, creating needs constant testing and it has been a nightmare to create in the past few weeks, right now Minecraft often completely refuses to launch after crashes for long periods of time.
Unfortunately, this is out of my control as Minecraft's ray tracing implementation is filled with various bugs, which hinder the experience for everyone.
A very few number of them can be patched through a resource pack, so expect more fixes/tweaks to come in future updates (mainly entity rendering errors).
