June 2021 Progress Report

Hello there!

As I said in my last report, things were going to be a little slow since I (Eros) had to prepare for a convention on July 8th-11th. But that inspired me to have the artists working on the game what their take on each of Hell’s rulers would look!

I left most creative freedom to them with maybe a few specifics and I feel everyone did a great job.

Lust sovereign

Name: Rosé Asmodeus

Demon type: Succubus

Gender: genderfluid (fluctuates between he/him and she/her)

About: Rosé is the sovereign of the Lust circle. He believes in sex positivity, exploration, and ensures sex workers within her circle are treated fairly. She has a sultry but subtly cheerful personality.

Greed Sovereign

Name: Ba'alvros Diamante

Demon Type: Mammon

Gender: Female (she/her)

About: Ba’al runs the the high end casino and is sovereign of the greed circle. She is the most flashy of the sovereigns. Despite being the “Greed” sovereign she is a fairly benevolent boss to those who work under her and charitable, having funded the Sloth’s circle’s “Earth on Hell” section for those having a difficult time adjusting to Hell. She is a sugar momma and has many sugar babies, namely those in the Lust and Envy circles.

Envy Sovereign

Name: Satan

Demon Type: Changeling

Gender: nonbinary (he/him)

About: The more troublesome of the Sovereigns along with being the ruling director/star of the Envy circle. Satan is your typical Hollywood type with an ego far too big for their britches. He is a movie director, scriptor, and actor and stars in all the productions he makes. Satan is the type to spread rumors about himself for all press is good press. Because of this a lot of negative stereotypes about demons were perpetuated by him and his followers.

Lucifer tolerates Satan’s actions as he is their most skilled spy and influential of the other sovereigns.

Sloth Sovereign

Name: Jack Montgomery

Demon Type: Sloth

Gender: Male (he/him)

About: Jack was one of the angels that fell with Lucifer when he was a part of Angel’s kingdom. In Utopia he was never meant to be anything more than a busy worker angel, doing whatever task that was given to him. He was a “jack of all trades” and generic in every sense. When Lucifer revolted he felt inspired that he could be something more. He stole tomes for forbidden magic and is the first warlock.

As the sovereign of the Sloth circle he is on the cutting edge of technology, magic, and techno wizardry. He’s also mad gay and has a robot boyfriend.

Gluttony Sovereign

Name: Zephyriel “Zephyr” Beezle

Demon type: Glutton

Gender: Male (he/him)

About: Zephyr is a extreme thrill seeker and sovereign of the Gluttony circle. He believes in living life, or in this case, afterlife, to the fullest each and everyday and is always finding new ways to make the Gluttony circle exciting. His biggest achievement is having the train system double as a roller coaster.

He has a feral and excitable personality. He also has a pet gator named Fred.

I simply ADORE all the designs the crew have put into making Hell’s Sovereigns! They all really captured what each circle of hell would look personified.

When and where the sovereigns make appearances is a secret for now. You may notice Wrath and Pride lack designs! Wrath hasn’t been designed yet, but Pride (Lucifer) already has but I omitted it so it remains a surprise as to what the ruler of all Hell looks like.

Next, I can proudly say that the main 6 routes have all been written and finalized! Now Sam (head writer) is moving onto Fayebael while I work on adding screenplay information for programmers as they finish up the new demo.
