January 2021 Progress Report

I don’t know why but January has felt way longer than it should have been.

But anyway, Eros again, here’s this month’s progress report!

ART:

Got at least two of the Cheris base sprites finished! I really like how the bow sprites came out; they all look so courteous and kind!

And because I was pretty burnt out of drawing sprites I decided to toss my hand in drawing additional backgrounds for certain scenes that last like, all of a few minutes then rarely seen again lol.

I’m fairly proud of the lighting and reflections with this one...

Temporary Housing/ Player’s Hell Home

Used during both Irene and Ramon’s route

I put more of a magenta color into the room to represent both Irene and Ramon since their identifying colors are hot pink and burning red.

I was a little more fun with this one and added camoes of my assistants' art along with my own. There are also cameos in the backgrounds done by our main background artist, TJ, so have fun spotting those!

(Updated) Sweetie Shakes in Limbo

Done by TJ. More emphasis on the retro aesthetic and a testament to how much  TJ has improved over the months! Proud of them!!

(Hopefully) on February 14th, Valentine’s day, we're going to be releasing a voice actor reveal for all the important characters in the game! Most of them have gotten in their character reveal lines so I would like to share those with y’all.

The UI is almost done being redesigned! Here are some test screens of what it will look like in future updates.

Writing is still underway but from the rough drafts I’ve read so far, I’m enjoying how some of the routes play out! Here are a few excerpts the writers were willing to share.

And that's about it for this month! Next month is when the UI will be finalized and the programmers can rebuild the demo with the updated interface, sprites, voice clips, etc. Lots of exciting things to look forward to!

I have to remind myself that next month is shorter so I don’t forget to make another progress report… let's see how that turns out.
