Hello there!
Eros here and time for another installment of the monthly updates. Today I’m going to cover:
- Physical Rewards
- Art
- Voice actors
- Game Development
Physical Rewards
I should be finished shipping out physical rewards by the beginning of November! I started shipping them out last week and boy howdy is that a grueling task to take on all by myself. Nevertheless I’ve shipped out over half of the orders so check your email for tracking information over the next few days! I slipped in an extra post card or button for dakis and special holographic sticks in all reward tiers because I truly do just appreciate the support all 400+ backers have given to help make this game a reality.
If any of your items was greatly physically damaged please let me know via private message so I can send you a new one!
Art
Here are some new sprites to be added in the game! I really do love visual novels like dangan ronpa where they have a ton of additional sprite artwork to really immerse the player in the world and I wanted that in Repurpose.
I’ve taken it upon myself to color Fayebael and DJ Roadkill’s sprites since their sprites have the most outfit variants in their routes.
And yes, at some point in the game Noel gets kicked in the crotch lol.
Voice actors
We selected the two who are going to give voices to Noel and DJ Roadkill!
DJ Roadkill will be played by Kim Gasciel
Noel will be played by Kieran Flitton
Last on our to be casted list is Cheri who will be played by three different people based on what the player’s preference is. A Femimine, Masculine, and androgynous voice will be casted so stay tuned for next month’s update!
Game development
With all the outlines done I’m going to be cracking my whip at the writers to have drafts of each character’s route finished by the end of January!
While that happens, our programmers will be testing out renpy/python and if its capable of running….
Kalei minigame concept art done by Happypaca
The rest were done by me and aren’t as pretty, but get the point across.
If we were able to pull off these minigames with Renpy we will stick with it, but if we run into complications we may have to move to another engine such as unreal or gamemaker.
But i have full confidence that regardless if we stick or ditch renpy the programmers and artists on the team will make it work!
That’s all for now, and from everyone onat Cereus Garden we hope you’re staying safe and have a pleasant Halloween!
