I was actually a bit worried since it's been a while since I painted an actual face! But collecting references for both expression and lightning has been really really helpful, and although there are things I could keep refining I am very happy with how it came out! I decided not to overwork it and focus on finishing this first portrait just like this. Not stressing over things!
