I was in Seattle, the economy was bouncing back, there were a series of new, trendy businesses including a dentist who would give you a custom cigarette after removing your teeth & a bar/coffee house where young hip people would watch older rich people like it was a floor show. This rich elderly lady had a deformed face & was covered with a red fuzz. The younger people were dressed well but bizarrely, exhibitionistically. Women wearing short skirts & no underwear. I was wearing no shoes. Things had gone from the repressed. casual state that America is in to an extroverted, fancy, pretentious state. It was far more interesting to me.
