Added 2025-06-22 23:20:40 +0000 UTCI originally had no plans to buy the new Donkey Kong game — until I saw Pauline. The moment I laid eyes on her, I placed an order.
I heard that Wreck‑It Ralph was inspired by Donkey Kong in the first place, and this time Nintendo didn’t hesitate to pay homage right back to its own work.
I really love seeing elements I’m passionate about appear in Nintendo’s games.
For example, seeing the MGSV Mother Base in Odyssey, or the Sea of Decay from Nausicaä in Tears of the Kingdom.
Their way of referencing these amazing elements is both unmistakable and clever.
I seriously can’t wait to play this game, but I’m sure I won’t have to wait too long — because before that, we’ve got an entire new Kojima experience to enjoy.
