[DEVBLOG#122] Rim-Effect Core Infographics II

Last time we covered weapons and armors, let's now take a look at the ability system. Yes, they work great, a bit like psycasts but Mass Effect-themed, and yes, enemies can, in rare instances, use them against you.
If you're not pals with Systems Alliance faction, they can come over to you with their adepts and engineers and obliterate you. It's fun!



















Oh, I forgot to mention. You know in the previous devblog I showed you guys the Spectre armor? Well, I didn't show it fully. Both Spectre Armor and Spectre Visor come with unique abilities themselves:




Now lets take a look at the Alliance faction!

2021-03-20 14:14:18 +0000 UTCthese abilities are all really cool. sometimes i wish there was a mod that had an ability and perk system, similar too whats in this devblog, but more immersive for vanilla, imo. like, stuff that i feel could be at home in the vanilla game and rimworld lore and universe.

2021-03-15 22:57:18 +0000 UTCOmni-Tool abilities are cooldown only, Biotic abilities have no cooldown but use up biotic energy (something akin to Mana), which regenerates based on what level your implant is. Nothing stops your pawn from using biotics, tech abilities and psycasts for maximum carnage!

2021-03-15 22:55:31 +0000 UTCWas really super excited to see how these were handled an I'm elated by the direction y'all took, Amps restricting weapon weight is a fantastic way to pseudo-implement the classes. I may have just missed something but are the Biotic and Omni-tool abilities only cooldown, or do they have a resource? Alongside that, is there anything stopping a pawn from using a combination of Amp, Omni-tool or Psycast?
