[DEVBLOG#110] Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Coilgun

Hello folks! A little teaser of a mod I'm working on with a fellow patron - Avery!

RimWorld primer mentions Coilguns alongside Charged weapons as industrial-to-spacer level weaponry. Sadly, coilguns are not present in the game anymore. Well, that will soon change!

All of our weapon modules have an interesting gimmick - be it instant-fire of Quickdraw, Power armor requirement of Heavy weapons or overcharge of the laser weapons, coilguns too have an interesting new mechanic.

Projectiles fired from coilguns will pierce targets and can actually be used to kill multiple enemies in a straight line. If possible, we will also make them capable of piercing through a wall, so collateral damage will always be a risk! But hey, nothing better than killing 3 enemies with one shot, am I right?

Fantastic! Will this be a VWE mod or integrated in some other bigger mod, like RimEffect and appear on certain factions / pawns? (here's hoping I can trick you into spoiling stuff :D)

They pierce not only through armor but through anything in their way - be it a pawn or a wall or a piece of furniture. However each consecutive target gets damaged less and less

Hyped! So many questions πŸ˜… Will coil weapons pierce threw any armor? If don’t, will the projectile hit additional targets after being stopped by first target in line?

Ooh love the look of these- that big one going to be a heavy weapon of sorts maybe?
