2020-08-11 23:29:31 +0000 UTCI’m not sure if LGB campus organizations are that way now, but I had a similar experience to the video in the mid 90’s in college. I got a “what the hell is wrong with you” from one of the people promoting Blue Jeans day because I had the audacity to wear shorts. (If it’s above zero, it’s shorts weather regardless if it’s snowing or not.) I wasn’t wearing them to be disrespectful, but that didn’t matter to them. They were hostile and confrontational and it soured me towards gay people for years until I made friends with people that had come out who helped give me a new perspective . Like I said, I’m not sure if that’s the way LGBTQ groups are now, but if the people putting together the JW videos are around my age I could definitely see them having had experiences like that to draw from.
