It's never too late to drop in and give us your thoughts. That is a pretty wild skill though! Definitely adds to her adaptability. Perfect name for it too, Genius. Thanks for bringing that extra lore to us. That show never ceases to amaze me with it's depth.

2025-03-25 01:33:43 +0000 UTCi know i am pretty late to this, but i dont believe i have seen anyone say it, but i havenmt looked super hard, but the one of Princess Renner's "class" is Genius which lets her convert those levels to copy any other "basic" classes, so when she asked for the sword, she turned her 5 Genius levels into 5 Warrior levels, which is why she was able to create a noticeable shock wave with her swing.

2024-10-31 11:28:05 +0000 UTCIn the web novel version, which is the original, before it started getting published into a light novel, Brain wasn't killed since he was captured by Shalltear back when they first met. I believe he ended up working for Cocytus. Other differences were Arche the blonde sorcerer worker that Shalltear killed in season 3 episode 8, wasn't killed but instead turned into a sex slave of sorts for Shalltear and teaches Ainz how to be a noble in the Empire since he becomes a Arch Duke in the Empire instead of forming his own kingdom.

2023-10-18 15:35:48 +0000 UTCFun fact, the street where Brain and Cocytus fought was the same street where Gazef found him after getting dunked on by Shalltear. The reason why Cocytus didn't go straight through and instead went around was because he respected Brain so much that he did not want to step on the land that he tried to protect, so Cocytus went around to honour Brain as a true warrior.

2023-10-17 10:19:16 +0000 UTCthe theory with Renner and the sword was that it was highlighting Renners "genius" class, which she has 5 levels in and it can be changed to any other basic class as needed, so she had 5 levels as some kind of combat class when she equipped it

2023-10-14 04:45:49 +0000 UTCThere are also stat pages on most of the guardians of Nazarick, if you google their stat page it will come up but all floor guardians are level 100 except for victum, and many of them are built to counter eachother, example, Cocytus is strong against Albedo, Sebas is strong against Cocytus, Albedo is strong against Sebas. Cocytus when fighting seriously would wield a weapon in each of his arms, so hes a 4 weapon weider, he has 21 different weapons he can pull out for different situations, hes considered the strongest weapon user in Nazarick. Demiurge is actually the weakest of the main floor guardians on his own, but he has allot of support and command skills, hes all about controlling armies of demons and buffing his allies. As for Albedo shes a pure tank, she has insane defense.

2023-10-13 16:10:51 +0000 UTCYes, Cocytus honored Brain as a warrior by not walking directly past him, instead he walked around him leaving the ground behind Brain as the ground he died defending. Interesting that Princess Renner could one hand that sword, maybe not such a weakling needing Climb's protection? Each LN volume has an addendum that has the stat sheets for characters in Overlord as well as some of the Supreme Beings. Cocytus has his stat sheet in volume 2, so...start reading guys.

In that moment he was way stronger than Gazef. Its the compliment that cocytus gave "i didnt think somone of this level would be here". Because in that moment he was the strongest person in the capital. "Brain used a secret technique to boost his attack from his max level of 30 to 40. His attack did not damage Cocytus because of a physical attack negation skill. However, Cocytus was so impressed by Brain's resolve, that he conceded the battle. In a way, you could say that Brain successfully defended the street and forced Cocytus to detour around him." <- from a reddit thread

It so incredibly well represents how each of the characters are a badass, even though there is an inconceivable depth between them like Cocytus and Brain. So many other shows make people look like fools when they hype up their power just to lose to the overpowered main characters. Overlord treats those situations with the respect of taking them serious. I am SO excited for the next episode reaction!
