Script Snippet: [Reanimation Scheme - Kierdan] Buffet

I let out a loud exhale, relieved to have escaped in one piece. As much as I love Casseia and know she only means well, there are some topics that I just don't want to discuss with her — or anyone, really.

Shaking my head to clear the troubling thoughts, I turn my attention and eyes back on something much more uplifting — the buffet table with all kinds of delicacies. 

I rub my hands together in glee. Swiping two new, clean plates off the pile, I get to work, scooping generous amounts of every dish that catches my eye onto my plates. 

By the time I'm satisfied, there's three plates fully laden with towers of food before me. As I consider the dilemma of how to transport my new spoils to my table with only two hands, I hear an unmistakable snort coming from behind. 

Raenelle: What? Stop judging —

I whip my head around, but my scowl quickly melts away into surprise when I find myself staring at Lord Waven, whose slightly amused expression immediately freezes on his face. 

Raenelle: Can I help you, my lord?

He arches an eyebrow at me, his face returning to a perfect mask of iciness that makes the fleeting sign of life earlier seem like nothing more than a figment of my imagination.

Kierdan: Hmph.
