The first time they got together for sex it was actually Caroline's own free will, then we know how it ended, he drank her blood and compelled her. But the next few times she was under Damon's control, Caroline clearly wanted to get away from him but he held her back, and doing everything that did to her during that time was forced on her. Some would even call it rape. I don't think the writers really thought about that at the time, because Damon has problems but he's not a rapist, and today with our eyes and hindsight we say to ourselves, hold on, in the end it was fucked up this situation (moreover, it never happened again in the show later), but that wasn't the writers intention, they just hadn't given enough thought to how it came out. Especially since the subject is never broached in the series so it has always been very far from the minds of writers.

I never had a Thanksgiving we don't celebrate this here And with Bonnie and Damon being in the PW because of Luke, I disagree. Yeah Damon is Lukes fault but Bonnie never was able to come back from the dead because she was the anchor so her grams would probably still have putten her into the PW

Another great episode. Damon Stefan and ric what a pair 😻Damon talking to miss cuddles is so dam adorable I enjoyed how both Damon and ric were making fun of Stefan’s situation with Caroline 😅 yes brothers do stuff like this haha. S6 is really interesting with all this Gemini coven thing it’s something new and Kai is so entertaining he’s bad yes but at the same time I just love his character so much he makes S6 alot better. I’m so glad she compelled Liam I didn’t like him at all. At the end I didn’t like what Elena said she says do one thing for me being me my best friend back and what about Damon this isn’t about her for gods sake Damon anyways wants to get her back irrespective of Elena telling him or not. Why was that line necessary idk 🤷🏽‍♀️

I need to clarify something, Damon used Caroline to get close to people and to get in to things he couldn't (like the founders party) he also fed on her and compelled her to not be scared of him, not let anyone know he was a vampire, and to forget he was a vampire...but never at any time did he compel Caroline to have sex with him....She did all that on her own, BEFORE she knew what he was.

I like this episode, very explanatory, so Kai wants Jo to die in merge with him to take power, and especially he has just recovered his exit ticket, it will be complicated from now on. I also loved the trio of Ric, Damon and Stefan. Frankly, Elena's urge to always be at the center of everything is annoying, can't she just let others do things for once, especially since she wouldn't have brought much more. Then, I'm disappointed in Damon to have compelled Ric. Don't get me wrong, Ric should have had the presence of mind to say okay, we'll try to find a solution or otherwise by opening the prison world we'll make sure that only Bonnie gets out, because it's Bonnie we're talking about, she's already sacrificed so much for all of them and for Ric, that he owes her that, so they should have all discussed it. But Damon's reaction, I'm really disappointed, it's still selfish, to get what he wants without worrying about the consequences on Ric or even Jo. And also Stefan who is doing nothing. As for the relationship of Liv and Tyler, it seems boring and fake, very forces. 'They will have to go through me', he's sweet to believe that he could do anything, pretty stupid, like Tyler would be a terrible enemy ?! 😂 They have a hard time realizing that in order to prevent a threat you first have to fully recognize it, know it in order to fight it, and Tyler clearly despises the coven and their powers, as well as their tradition and it will backfire on them. Bonnie ... The poor one, always the one who suffers for everyone, for once the others will bend to save her, it's less annoying than when it's Elena, it became redundant. Good reaction, looking forward to the next one. Ps. The I lied was actually for the 'going separate ways', he don't need her, just her blood.
