Developer's Diary #111

Hi folks!

I decided to change a little bit of the plans for this release cycle. The quest I'm working on is the last one of Thursday, but there are still other shorter (but important) events and interactions to be worked on before the transition to Friday (including the resolution of the cleaning task).

My initial idea was to release these final bits in a smaller separate update, but then I realized that a release without a new hot scene would be lame. So my plan now is to release the first path of the current quest, and then include the alternate one with the conclusion of other events of Thursday.

So, as I'm now working on the final bits of the first path, I believe I'll probably release this next version by the end of the week.

See you soon!

Peace!

I don't have solid plans for her for now. Maybe in one of the endings ;)

The Architect

Maybe. But only as a outcome in the endgame, like in Goons Raid Her.

The Architect

All scenes will come to the gallery

In the future, could Joyce Price also be a target in this game?

JJL

Great stuff so far! I am curious though if there is going to be any pregnancy/impregnation content?

Miscellaneous Achievements

My point is that being punk/rebellious is not a core aspect of her personality. It's just how she displays grief for the main timeline events (and it's also the influence of Rachel). It's been a long time since I played, but I remember she being really tame/stoic in the alternate timeline where her father lives. To be honest, I don't think the writing is the best element of the original game. I'm much more fan of the art style and setting. So in this Isekai world, the supernatural influence of the MC presence is the excuse I use to portrait the characters a little more like I imagine them πŸ˜‰

The Architect

Mmm...I'm really scratching my head at "I don't see her mainly as a punk rebel". That's her defining trait. She "wears it" as her physical embodiment. It's been a long time since I've played the game and I haven't really analyzed it in a thoughtful manner. But in her wiki "Chloe is a stubborn, mischievous, and rebellious teenage girl. She is the archetypal punk-rocker, expressed in both her music taste and style. She loves to get high, drink beer, and can be described as bold and outgoing. She has a big mouth often making snarky comments, acts fearless and loves to take risks, which often gets her in trouble." -- https://life-is-strange.fandom.com/wiki/Chloe_Price#Personality I agree that Chloe is "displaced" because of Max leaving. And that she feels lost and she wanted control. She hated her new life. And yes, the artful interpretation of her is to see what's inside her disguise. That's kinda the fun part in a corruption game. You expose her for who she is: a broken girl with daddy issues. Here's a quote from the wiki again about this: "Chloe always used to smile and laugh, but gradually became more resentful of her life without her father and Max. Not long after the loss of her father, Chloe's mother Joyce and David Madsen became lovers. David Madsen is a military veteran and Head of Security at Blackwell Academy whom Chloe immediately despised. From there, Chloe started getting more rebellious, hanging around with bad boys, taking drugs and running away from home, making the junkyard her "home away from Hell."" She really fucking hates David because "she's not his dad". Her appearance change is rebellious to changes in her life that she doesn't agree with. Father dead, mother fucking some Republican gun nut (lol you know Chloe Price heard them fuck), and finally her best friend leaving her to fend for herself. Maybe my perversion about feminism is off. But she's most definitely a "rebel" who probably isn't a virgin. She thinks she's a tough, strong girl.

I’m looking forward to this! Can’t wait for the release! Your stuff is the best

Can i view it on the gallery?

I'm also a big fan of the tomboy ahestesics! About Chloe, even in the original LiS, I don't see her mainly as a punk rebel. I picture her more like someone that doesn't belong there. She's lost in that place, even more in our alternate reality without Rachel. The two possible arcs the player will be able to push are about either help her get the freedom she wants, or make her even more lost by forcing her submission to people of the town.

The Architect

Thanks. I love Chloe but I hope you capture that kind of "punk rock", "feminist", "fuck the system" kind of spirit more. I thought the David scene was a bit unrealistic, as sexy as it is to have her blow someone she despises. She needs to be in more duress for complete submission. I think her attitude, her eyes, her speech needs to reflect more of "I'm doing this, but I'm not submitting" kind of vibe. I hope I don't sound too dissatisfied. I'm already thrilled that the "short haired, rebellious, color in her hair" kind of chick is getting featured. Western beauty standards seem to look down on short haired girls. I love tomboys and there's really not enough going around in Western media in general. You can probably say the same for Eastern media tbh.
