A return to a more even keel

As the last post I dropped about my cat Jamie's medical issues with his eye starkly illustrated; it was a rough month or so as Jamie's situation unfolded from worrisome to worse. I'm happy to report that, two weeks later, post the surgery to remove his right eye, Jamie is doing really well and is back to his old self. Now if I can manage to get him to wear an eye patch (unlikely), it'll be the coolest badass cat thing a one eyed cat could do. Levity aside, I'm just beyond relieved that, while I did not want to see him end up losing the eye, he's much better off than he was prior to the surgery and everything has relaxed with things returning to normal once again.

Additionally, and just as pertinent, I have finally wrapped color work for the first book in the growing Palladium project. The I.P. holder hit Palladium with an unexpected, "we want to review the entire book, all at once" rather than the typical, art/content, as it's completed in batches review approach. This resulted in my having to grind away to complete the remaining straggling bits of work (also resulting in my posting this update later in the month here). That work is in the can, on to the next wave.

There are now additional books I will be working on for this mystery project I'm going to be working on as well. The good news, as far as time consumption, is these are smaller supplemental books. It was the core RPG rule book I just wrapped, so the core book had the largest concentration of artwork. There were a variety of reasons this project took longer than was planned (mostly on their end, more so than mine, though what happened with Jamie didn't help of course) and this was mainly due to the I.P. rights holder and not Palladium themselves. These things can often take time (contract negotiations), it's just how it can go. So, my expectation here, is that it should be easier to shore up time for a return to the more hands on and active engagement with the Patreon. The Palladium work will still be demanding my time though, just to be fully covering my bases.

While I still can't say what this Palladium project is, I can say, it will likely be revealed in October with a major Kickstarted push. So, next month I should finally be able to reveal what had taken so much of my time away this summer (it's pretty cool so it should be worth the wait).

Finally, September posts and content are coming. It'll be another content cluster, in the remaining days of the month, but next month, I hope will be a bit more even as so much of the chaotic craziness of the summer has passed.

As always, I thank you all immensely for your interest, support, and patience during this unusually rough patch of 2023. We are still here and we are still very much going to continue producing content. Work will drop when it drops, moving toward resuming a more regular schedule once again.

Stay tuned and have a fantastic week!
