While I still have a significant amount of work for Palladium Books, it also looks like I'm ahead of the allotted time frame I have to complete the work. Obviously this is a good thing, so I've been squeezing in some paints of the recent test prints. There will be more, along with pending new STL releases for June.
Today I have a collection of photos of recent Paints of the new TE-60 Stiletto C-1 variant. This is, of course, a new iterative variant update (later model in the Three Nine Line setting) of the original TE-60 Stiletto fighter. The two prints were painted as follows:
Spotted camo red tip Stiletto C-1: Tamiya AS5 Light blue (Luftwaffe) spray for base coat, various AK pigments for camouflage, white markings, weathering/tints, red pastel, for the red sensors on the wings and red markings.
Orange squadron style camo marking Stiletto C-1: Tamiya AS5 Light blue (Luftwaffe) spray for base coat, various AK pigments for white markings, weathering/tints, Orange pastel for the color field camo markings, red pastel, for the red sensors on the wings.
Personally, the orange markings paint is one of my favorite paints so far, as the colors, of course, compliment quite nicely (as they are complimentary, though the Luftwaffe blue is more hued to gray-ish blue than blue). I'll be experimenting with more paints like this one for sure seeing I have covered the more conventional WWII style paints to some extent.
Also, I should note, the spotted camo print is one of the original test prints I ran on the Saturn S, while I was working on dialing the machine in. I'd say the exposure is slightly higher than zeroed on the Saturn print, so the details are softer (as details expand on high exposure, contract on low exposure). The orange C-1 was printed on the Mars 2 Mono, which does seem to be pretty zeroed in, so the print has sharper detail clarity overall.
While the additions and details are subtle the C-1 variant update of this fighter turned out pretty nicely I think. Like the new TE-66 Sagitta, the Original Stiletto and the C-1 variant are somewhat chonky but sleek fighter designs. The Stiletto fighter has a more generous amount of surface real-estate for painting, so it lends itself to experimenting with your paint schemes, have fun with it.
Also, don't be afraid to comment folks, Patreons and followers alike. I'm sure many of you following this page are fans of modeling, sci-fi, mecha, anime/old school anime, 3D printing (obviously) etc. Clearly so am I, so always happy to hear from folks that grew up loving the same stuff, or the younger generations that discovered this stuff online. 3D printing, well that's kinda new to all of us, we're all figuring it out as it continues to develop and grow, so it's just cool to be a part of it.
Thanks for looking, for the support and interest, and continue to have a great week everyone!
More to come!
