Introducing the TE-65A-2 Sharurä A.I. gunship.
I unexpectedly took a left turn at Albuquerque and ended up creating a new Sharurä A.I. gunship variant last night when I had initially planned to finish another new fighter update I have in the wings.
Once I had started working on the original Sharurä Zbrush model I quickly got on with creating the new updated details and before I knew it, I had a new Sharurä variant ready for a print test. I ran that print test this morning and indeed... we has print. Overall, the print (as seen in the two photos) looks fantastic, though I'm running a second print, as I type, with some slight support adjustments to fix a mild layer shift that was apparent in one spot. I expect the second test to result in another fantastic print, so the STLs for this one will likely drop later tonight or early tomorrow. More photos will follow as well.
The original TE-65A Sharurä has always been one of the most popular of my fighter models, so this new variant version, with it's new overt and subtle details, may very well end up a popular addition in it's own right. Whatever the case, I'm certainly eager to paint up a few of these in order to promote them. The new added detailing should pop nicely once fully painted.
The other surprise fighter update I had planned to drop STLs before the month's end will now drop early June, I simply need to finish the Zbrush model updates and run some print tests. Printing seems to finally be going without a hitch so I'm going to be printing as much as I can to test new potential STLs for release while the box art content is on pause during the Palladium Books gig.
Have a great week everyone!
