I've been busy cooking up several updated variants of some of the original first wave of fighter releases. Here's a peek at a fancy pants new version of the Original Stiletto fighter. I was experimenting with a few new approaches to the way I had been building these, and this resulted in an approach that results in smaller polygon/file size models with more detail.
I plan to run a print test on this bad boy tomorrow (it's a wee bit heavy thunderstorm-y tonight) and I don't expect there will be any issues printing it; it's essentially an updated version of the original Stiletto Zbrush model. While this is still the original TE-60, this new version has a nice peppering of additional new greeble details, thus it's now the TE-60 Stiletto C-1 variant. As I noted with the TE-46 Javelin D and TE-52 Ballista C-2 variant updates, this kind of thing is precisely what happens with real world fighters; iterative updates/upgrades. The additional details should take to paints and washes quite nicely.
There are several fighter updates underway, so expect more updates shortly. I'm also working on the TE-72 Lancea box art and ortho illos and will likely working out some brand new (not updates of older models) Zbush fighters as well. I plan to keep working on new stuff and printing as much as possible so things catch back up to a more robust release schedule.
I hope everyone's enjoying their weekend. Thank you all for your continued support and interest in the work!
More soon!
