The new fighter has print; I've run two test prints so far, both with successful results. While the first test print turned out (the unpainted print) I hadn't noticed that resin had pooled in the two front intakes so I did a second Chitu file with a less steep angle on the fighter and new supports. The second print (the Tamiya Ocean Gray base coat painted print) went without a hitch. I have a handful of photos showing the first two test prints off here, including one with the Stiletto Mk. II next to it for comparison.
As you read from the post header, the fighter also has a new name; the Sagitta. While Alba, was actually referring to a naming convention of a specific Native American arrowhead, that was actually shaped just like the nose of the fighter, Sagitta, which is Latin for arrow, just has a better ring to it. This new fighter is very much, in it's fictional setting on planet Ancora, part of the same design lineage of the TE 60 and TE-70 Stiletto fighters. The TE-66 Sagitta is a more chonky fighter interceptor with a pair of big-ass engines (along with the lower fuselage cruising engine, hence TE/tri engine fighter) though, think more like a WWII Wildcat, and later Hellcat.
The Ocean Gray print just started paints of course and I'll be running another print today to ensure it continues to be consistent with the resulting prints. As far as I can see, this is likely February's pending fighter release.
More on the way. Thank you all for the support and interest and everyone have a great weekend!
