New TE-65A Sharurä A.I. gunship paints

A couple of new Sharurä painted prints to share. We have a dark spotted camo red tip paint (quite happy with this one, it's a variation of what the pending Navaja 121% tutorial paint looks like) and a tan aqua marsh camo paint.

Dark spotted camo red tip Sharurä: Tamiya Gray Green (IJN) base coat with AK pigment faded green for the top coat and dark earth for the dark camo. The red wing tip markings is an old can of Testors flat red (happened to have it so I used it). The red faded paint, on the nose, is actually artist pastel, ground on sandpaper and painted on wet, then blend faded once dry. The faded white markings are AK pigment White Ashes, painted on wet. Various tints and light weathering were additional AK pigments.

Tan aqua marsh camo Sharurä: Tamiya Light Gray (IJN) base coat with AK pigment Sienna Soil for the desert tan overcoat (this pigment actually really does well mimicking WWII Africa tan when painted on dry and sealed with a flat coat). The aqua style camo is AK pigment faded green hand painted on. White markings, again AK White Ashes. Various tins and light weathering, additional AK pigments.

Multiple flat clear coats, for both fighters, to seal in all of the AK pigment work.

Navaja painting tutorial is finally dropping soon.

I noted above that the Dark spotted red tip Sharurä paint was a variation of the upcoming Navaja 121% paint. The painting tutorial that I said I was going to do is now coming soon. I didn't want to rush it, so I worked on the Navaja paint, off and on, between other work. The Navaja I painted for this tutorial is done, and it tuned out really nicely. I took a crap-load of photos so, all I need to do now is finish the write ups, and boil down which photos I plan to use. The tutorial will absolutely be broken up into installments, so expect part 1 this month, with the rest following in additional installments. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait and have some useful bits of info for you all.

Lastly,

Having to replace the LCD screen, on the Mars 2, has of course delayed printing and testing of potential new releases. Now that the new LCD has been installed, and the Mars 2 looks to be printing beautifully again, I'm back to testing a potential candidate for this months print release. If the release is delayed into November, I may end up dropping 2 releases in November, it just depends on how things go. In addition to getting back to printing, I'm also diving fully into learning Blender as well. I've always wanted to add that to my 3D tool set so it's time to jump in. No idea how quickly I'll be producing content with it, but I hope soon. Eventually I'll be moving from space fighters to tanks, mecha, and other vehicles, etc.

I hope everyone's having a great week. Thank you always for the support and interest in the work!
