Here's a collection of photos of the initial test print for August's pending STL release; the SF-123B Möwe. This is a very quick, and dirty, paint on this print. I realized the (supported version) test print was smaller, in size, than it should have been so, while I wanted to do a paint, I also didn't want to spend too much time on it. This was just to get a feel for how the print would look painted, the two prints that follow are larger and getting much nicer paint jobs.
I'm still not a fan of photographing unpainted resin, because it has a somewhat translucent nature it just soaks up too much light (not that I'm an expert photographer but I try to make the photos of the prints look nice). there's one photo of the raw resin prints and a pair of photos of the same prints with a basecoat of Tamiya Light Gray (IJN). Both of these fighters turned out really nice with the full paints and I'll have photos of those soon as well.
The SF-123B Möwe release is coming with the box art and orthos underway. I still may release the STLs early but not quite yet. While the fighter has been printing I wanted to run a couple more test prints and support tweaks (none of this is due to any print failures or serious issues).
Lastly, the Navaja painting tutorial is still coming as well (again likely in instalments), I just need to put it together, finish the last bits on the actual paint/photograph the final stages, and write it up, etc.
Looks like it will be another silly heat warning hot day, here in Michigan. Fun times.
Stay safe out there guys and drink your Gatorade and such liquid type stuffs.
Thanks for the support and thanks for looking!
