New TE-52 Ballista C-2 Ocean Gray painted print

The weather's been stupid hot much of the last week so I haven't really been printing as much as I planned. What I have gotten to is doing more painted prints and I'm also working on a tutorial, on how I have been approaching my painted promotional prints. The tutorial will likely go up at some point soon but I'm not going to rush painting the print I chose to feature in the tutorial (the larger 121% Navaja print I made awhile back).

For today: The TE-52 Ballista C-2

This one was painted with Tamiya Ocean Gray (RAF) spray for the base coat. The markings were Tamiya Orange (gloss spray) and AK pigment Ash White, hand painted on wet. The weathering and tint washes were various AK pigment colors. The subtle paint chipping, once again a humble #2 pencil.

I should have more paints soon.

Stay safe, keep cool, and have a great weekend folks! Thanks always for the support and interest in the work!

Kind thanks! Working on more and likely will come back to some older paints for some tweaks, here and there. I have no problem returning to some if I fell it's worth the extra effort. Yes, I do have in mind there will be something along those line which will also potentially vector into some narrative ideas I'm working out. I was also thinking like the nebula finale of Wrath of Khan, so we're more or less on the same thinking here. The gas giant moon interaction also in the same territory.

Wonderful paint job! That red nose is very early WW2. Is there something like Minovsky Particles from Gundam where only line of sight is possible? Maybe a powerful interaction between the Gas Giant and the moon. Ala our Jupiter and Ganymede.
