Progress Update: 1/11/21

This subject is so obnoxiously complicated that it's taken me a silly number of re-reads in order to wrap my head around it. I spent several hours with Arcaxon today trying to plot out the events of the subject and we were able to get through half of it. This subject is well outside my area of expertise, and so I've had to slog through jargon and make inferences all while trying to parse the events, which themselves are rather complicated.

There likely will only be four sections to this video: an introductory section, an opening to give background, a large body section to explain the rapid progression of events in the subject, and a conclusion that details the aftermath. I can't tell how long this video will be simply because I'm not certain how much space I'll need to properly convey everything; this was supposed to be a quick jaunt, but it's turning into a marathon. Nevertheless, it's quite enjoyable, and despite the harrowing nature of it, I'm thoroughly looking forward to another video which will largely consist of play-by-play narration, much like in the Deep Blue video or the duel in the WingsofRedemption video.

As for the more practical side of things, I'm committed to resisting the poor work patterns that have dominated production of Down the Rabbit Hole for its entire lifespan. If Arc or Ryan need a bit more time to finish their work, then I have space to continue work on other things. Right now, Ryan is waiting for me to start scripting so he can begin work on the music in earnest, and I'm making sure that Arc has plenty of information to create the assets we'll need for the bevy of animations we'll need, and so the episode is taking priority. However, if I find myself waiting on either of them, rather than rushing them, I'll take the time to catch up on overdue work such as the Q&As, the third Mistakes video, and the interview that I conducted with a prominent author. If I complete these and I'm still waiting, then I can begin research on the episode after this. While this video might take a little longer to produce, this will, in theory, help increase the regularity of future videos.

Thank you all for supporting me so well even as things have been difficult. Now that I'm beginning work on the script, expect more frequent progress updates as we approach release.
