The Best of Both Worlds - Part 3

Waking in the soft morning light was slow and gradual for Lena, with a lucid array of semi-conscious dreams that came before her eyelashes fluttered open. In one of them, Supergirl stared at her with critical and slanted eyebrows while standing in a pose of authority. That fleeting set of images was so different from what came next, where the alpha was still in her typical Supergirl stance, but also wearing one of Kara’s professional dresses.
It felt like looking at a puzzle where the wrong piece had been shoved into a space that was really meant for another. Rather than search for the right one, Lena’s sleeping brain was continuously bending the little cardboard edges of the piece to make it fit.
The uncomfortable feeling of the situation began to fade when Lena woke just enough to register Kara’s arms around her.
One hand was on her hip, and the other resting on her waist, and it took Lena a second to work out what the thing was that was prodding her hard in the thigh. Lena turned to check on her best friend, who stirred much faster and shifted onto her side to hide her rigid cock.
Kara berated her own anatomy for answering Lena’s heat with an erection so swollen it was almost sticking out of the top of her pajama pants. “Oh— oh no — No, no, no.”
“Kara, it’s okay,” Lena whispered with gentleness, but Kara still shot out of bed skittishly and in horror.
“No, it’s not — it’s really not,” Kara insisted, and the stress that came off of her was so endearing that Lena let her have the floor.
Lena doubted any other alpha would be so upset about getting a hard-on while in bed with an omega she liked. She sat with a patient smile on her face while Kara stalked across the bedroom floor and blurted, “I am so sorry, Lena. I owe you the biggest apology. I should have taken a leap of faith and told you how I feel about you much sooner, but I have this big secret—“
“It certainly does look big,” Lena teased and cocked an eyebrow as she glanced down at the tight front of Kara’s pajama pants.
“Lena, please,” Kara grit out sternly and appeared to work her jaw as if in doubt about how to explain herself. “This is important. It’s about Supergirl and this whole arrangement you’ve got going on.”
That announcement made the smile slip from Lena’s face and she folded her hands into her lap. She should have expected that her noble best friend would take issue with her plot to trick L-Corp’s board of directors. This was the kind of sham that Kara often worked so hard to expose, and on top of that, Kara had a long abiding friendship with Supergirl.
Lena took a meek approach as she muttered, “Is this where you tell me you can’t betray Supergirl’s trust and you’d rather not act on your feelings for me right now?”
“No—it’s—it’s way more complicated than that, and I’m scared you’re going to hate me for it.” Kara’s cryptic response fell flat as she firmed her chin, and then she croaked out, “That you’ll never want to speak to me again.”
“Let me guess: you completely detest what I’m doing with Supergirl, and you just don’t know how to discuss it with me.” Lena puckered her lips and nodded to herself with the certainty she had guessed right. “You can tell me your opinions and I won’t condemn you for them.”
It seemed like Kara was more upset than angry, and Lena needed to be sympathetic because she was the one at fault. If this was a matter of Kara disapproving of her scheme with Supergirl, Lena was sure she could handle that and still navigate through whatever trouble it meant for her relationship with her best friend.
“Kara, you can do no wrong in my eyes,” Lena assured her and stood up to gently clasp her hand over Kara’s forearm. “Truly, you are the one person who has never let me down, who befriended me and trusted me when everyone else in this city saw me as a despicable Luthor.”
Kara’s mouth opened and shut again, her teeth clenching as she breathed, “You deserve better than that. You always have and I hope you know that. Your last name shouldn’t stop anyone from seeing the real you — the sweet and sensitive person who I have always known you to be.”
It was such a heartfelt moment between them, and Lena sensed they were on the brink of an open and honest discussion that had to do with more than her precarious circumstances at L-Corp or with Supergirl.
“Kara, whatever is going on, please talk to me about it,” Lena whispered and gripped at her best friend’s hand to give it an encouraging squeeze.
Kara went through a second of hesitation in which she appeared to draw a blank, and then she exclaimed, “I know that you said my name twice while you were in bed with Supergirl—“
Just like that, the soft moment between them ended and Lena exhaled in incredulous anger, “That absolute asshole. I should have known she would be the type of alpha to talk.”
Kara followed her as she paced to the window to glare outward at the skies in search of any flash of red or blue.
“No, no, Lena—it wasn’t like that. Supergirl, she cares about you—honestly, she does—because we’re the same—”
Lena’s hysterical little laugh died on her lips as she remembered just how two faced Supergirl could be when it suited her.
“Are you?” Lena inflected, truly in doubt as to how anyone as wholesome and kind as Kara could compare herself to such a pompous figurehead. “You wouldn’t tell anyone the intimate details of our sex lives. Honestly, Supergirl is in this for one reason alone. It’s like back in the day when the best way to unite warring countries was to bring two royal households together through marriage. She just wants to put a baby in me so she can monitor my activities at L-Corp and prevent me from developing anymore Kryptonite. It’s strategic on her part, but I am not going to stop.”
Kara lifted a finger like she wanted to raise a contrary point, then took a much sterner tone as she asked, “But won’t that be lethal to your baby? I’m sure you’ve thought of every possible way to protect yourself during pregnancy, but what if something happens? An accident. You can’t plan ahead for that, Lena.”
“Now you sound like Supergirl,” Lena scoffed, more belligerently than she intended when faced with the exact same arguments that the high and mighty superhero would have thrown at her.
“Is that really the worst thing?” Kara asked, her eyes almost starry as she pursed her lips together and waited in suspense for the answer.
“If it means you’re judging me the way she is, then yes,” Lena spat out, her mood officially ruined as she stared back at Kara in incredulous silence. “Supergirl might be a hero, but she’s not without flaws, Kara. I understand you idolize her, but if you truly think I’d ever put an innocent life in danger—”
“I don’t think that!” Kara blurted, her erection forgotten as she waved her hands in front of her as if to magically dispel that thought from Lena’s mind. She looked crestfallen and miserable as she reinforced, “Lena, I know you would never do anything on purpose to hurt yourself or your-your future child—”
“Then why is it so hard for you to trust me?” Lena asked in exasperation, her forehead tense with a sharp crease between her eyebrows.
She knew her temper was sparking on and off like a defective lighter, yet she wasn’t entirely sure if it was all Kara’s fault. This anguish had been within her over the course of months, ever since Supergirl had gone behind her back and asked James to search her vault.
Hadn’t she proven time and again that she was good, that all of her experiments were to better understand things and not for the purposes of weaponization?
Kara seemed to be struck silent, her mouth agape and shoulders slumped like the weight of the fight was too much for her to take.
“I do trust you,” Kara finally whispered, coming back to herself as she raised her chin and stepped forward with a breath. “I trust you so much, and I should have — I should have made an effort to express that better.”
Lena waved her off with an irritated flick of the wrist and wandered towards the closet to find an outfit that would serve as comforting and accessible.
She shouldn’t even be thinking of sex at a time like that, but her heat dictated her hormones and her omega still needed it.
“I’m tired of defending myself, Kara,” Lena stated in blunt conclusion, her eyes flicking to where the alpha stood with her head bowed.
She was ashamed of the way her gaze lowered to Kara’s heavy erection, and how her own scent reflected desire, in spite of their argument. “Between the people of National City and Supergirl, you’re the last person I ever thought I would need to convince that my intentions are good.”
“I don’t need convincing, Lena, I never have,” Kara insisted with a wearied shake of her head and outstretched hand. “I’ve always seen you for who you are—"
Kara’s voice dropped off as a sharp and repeated knock at the door startled them both.
Lena gasped at the way Kara pushed in front of her like she planned to use herself as a
human shield.
“Are you expecting anyone?” Kara asked, her fingers resting on the frame of her glasses like she wanted to pull them off instead of push them up.
The alpha led them out of the bedroom, releasing protective scents that in no way made up for their fight, but certainly eased Lena’s anxieties regardless.
“No, but my enemies rarely knock,” Lena intoned and circled around Kara to open the door and find out who was still rapping on it with such a heavy hand.
She kept her fingers over a set of hidden triggers in the knob that would release the handle and free a concealed weapon if it was required.
The bludgeon unlocked into her hands as Lena opened the door to find Anthony White, the most bombastic of her board members.
Anthony waltzed inside in a smart, but polka dotted Brioni suit, and paused to gawk around at the penthouse before returning his attention to Lena. “Quite the place you have here. I hope you don’t mind my visit. I was going to call ahead, but I was on my way to the office and it was urgent. I just figured this would be faster.”
Lena clutched the bludgeon a little tighter with the strong desire to make good use of it. She lowered it with a smile and glanced back at Kara, who shrank away from Anthony, but still watched him from a wary distance.
“This isn’t the sort of place I had really imagined Supergirl to inhabit,” Anthony concluded after a short walk around, like he was looking for some sign of the superhero. “Don’t get me wrong, it’s high end and nice in its own way. It suits an omega’s taste, doesn’t it? Not the taste of a heroic All American Alpha like our Supergirl.”
Lena raised her bludgeon a little higher with a frustrated grunt. “What’s your point, Anthony? Why don’t you tell me what brought you here?”
“Oh, the board would like to meet with Supergirl this morning around 10 o’clock,” Anthony replied with a sharp glance down at his two-toned Rolex. “You’d better hurry up and notify her and make yourself presentable. I’m guessing Supergirl had a busy night of fighting crime and wasn’t home much.”
He eyed Lena up and down like she wasn’t currently fit to be seen by Supergirl, and Lena twisted the bludgeon in her hands as a substitute for wringing his scrawny little neck.
“As a matter of fact, Supergirl just left,” Kara interrupted with a hasty glance at Lena, like she needed approval for the lies she planned to tell. “Supergirl is a very dedicated and loving partner. She loves being with an omega who is confident and doesn’t put on airs for her.”
“Right,” Lena agreed with a small gesture at Kara, which was a subtle way to say she appreciated the back-up.
Anthony laughed at that and sat down on the long leather couch at the center of the living room. “Is this your maid, Lena?”
“I’m a reporter with CatCo Media and I happen to be a friend,” Kara retorted with gruffness and crossed her arms as she glared down at Anthony. “I’m writing a big story about Supergirl and Miss Luthor’s relationship. You can read it in Thursday’s edition.”
“Excellent,” Anthony praised and rubbed his hands together how he often did when he was looking at a graph of L-Corp’s profits. “I told you that all of this would lead to good press, Lena, and where there’s good press, good sales will always follow.”
The pheromones that came off of Kara were loud and demonstrative, sheltering Lena in the face of someone so vile.
Lena was taken aback by them, but too distracted by Anthony’s unwanted presence to question why their potency seemed different to her.
Kara strode towards the door before Anthony had even finished mentally calculating the financial growth they could expect. He was counting on his fingers and muttering the word millions to himself.
“Have a good day, Miss Luthor, and I’ll be in touch soon with a proof of the article for you to preview,” Kara called out with a sharp nod and then hurried out like she had somewhere to be.
Lena sulked that Kara was leaving her, even though she would have much to do if she was going to contact Supergirl and shower before their meeting with the board. “I’ll call you later.”
They stared at each other for a significant moment and then Kara was gone.
Anthony decided it best to linger in the apartment so they could drive over to L-Corp together. Lena contemplated all the ways she could murder him for the intrusion into her life while she rushed to get ready. She plotted nefarious plans of roping Supergirl into disposing of his body, perhaps by dropping him in an active volcano or throwing him straight into space. It was the least the Super could do after sharing such intimate and humiliating secrets with Kara.
Lena put her fury to good use and showered in record time. She was dressed and out the door with Anthony in under ten minutes, looking fierce in her red lipstick and a pair of Gucci shades.
Later, when she was picking up her own laundry which she left in her bedroom, she would realize that Kara had stormed out of her apartment barefoot and in pajamas, but that was the last thing on Lena’s mind when Anthony chattered in her ear for the whole ride.
By some miracle, Supergirl was already waiting for her arrival at L-Corp, and Lena nearly jumped out of her skin when the Super opened her car door and bent down to greet her so casually. “Hey babe, I brought you coffee.”
“Babe?” Lena scoffed and just managed to suppress the urge to dump the coffee all over the Super suit. “Is this to make up for telling Kara Danvers all about our sex life?”
Lena only kicked herself for the open hostility when Anthony popped out of the car behind her. He hovered right beside Supergirl as though star struck, and put out a finger to interrupt their argument. “Is that part of the article?”
“No,” Lena chorused in time with Supergirl, and they all hustled into the L-Corp building before they attracted people or cameras.
“Supergirl, it’s such an honor to have you here today at L-Corp. Can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee?” The fact that Anthony was willing to play butler for Supergirl was eye-opening, considering he believed it was an omega’s place to handle such things.
“Coffee?” Supergirl shrugged, radiating a careless jock energy that made Lena both irritable and horny. “I brought my own though, so I’m all set.”
They all walked to the elevator and Lena sipped her own drink, which had been prepared just how she liked it. Supergirl gave her a nervous smile as they traveled up to the ninety-sixth floor.
“Lena will make you a fresh cup once we get upstairs,” Anthony claimed in a quiet whisper of confidence that made it seem like he was having a private conversation with Supergirl. “You will always be a very special guest when you visit us. We want to extend our thanks to you in as many ways possible for keeping our city safe.”
Lena rolled her eyes at Anthony’s blatant ass kissing and smirked when it became clear he wouldn’t stop without an intervention. She would let Anthony continue pestering Supergirl long enough to amuse herself.
Supergirl’s tight lipped smile was evidence of her growing annoyance with Anthony’s pandering, and Lena savored it along with the smooth, rich taste of the coffee that was definitely not locally sourced.
Just how far had the alpha flown to get her the hot beverage? Not that it mattered, because nothing would temper the anger she felt after Supergirl discussed their private life with the alpha she pined for over the course of years.
Lena deliberated over all the reasons why Supergirl would confess such intimacies to Kara, and the more she considered it, the narrower her eyes became.
Was it as simple as territorial alpha nonsense? Did Supergirl want to scare Kara off or make it clear that even though Lena had feelings for Kara, she was the one that the public considered Lena’s mate?
What kind of motives did Supergirl truly have if she would share sexual information with Lena’s best friend?
Lena’s distrust for the alpha darkened her mood, and she was grateful for Anthony, and his unwavering attention that made him act more like an omega in heat than Lena.
Anthony bombarded the Super with frivolous questions that Supergirl politely deflected. When the elevator finally reached the top floor, he scurried after Supergirl, spewing whatever thoughts were in his head.
“Why the board is just dying to meet you,” Anthony insisted, completely sidelining Lena as he ushered the alpha down the hall and toward the boardroom where everyone was already seated. “All this time they thought Lena was unfit to lead and yet you’ve been with her the whole time.”
Lena scoffed at his callous remark, but it was Supergirl who drew to a halt to stare him down with a furrow of her brow. “Excuse me?” she muttered, pinning Anthony in place with nothing more than a squint of disbelief.
“Oh I know that Lena is more than capable of running L-Corp,” Anthony sputtered, his face a splotchy red as he regarded the unimpressed way Supergirl sucked her teeth. “But we are a family oriented company, and the board—”
“Should know that Lena has done more to turn this company around than anyone else,” Supergirl informed him without batting an eye, “and without Lena, the public would rightfully see L-Corp for what it was under Lex’s ham fisted ruling. Corrupt, disenfranchised, and dying.”
Anthony wasn’t the only one shocked by Supergirl’s fierce statement, and Lena gawked at the heroic alpha until Supergirl swung her head around to make sure she was still with them.
“Yes, well, right this way,” Anthony blustered, and fled to the safety of the double doors where everyone awaited their entrance like it was the highlight of some reality TV show.
Lena begrudgingly accepted Supergirl’s hand if only to show a force of solidarity in the face of her enemies.
Come hell or high water, she was going to make every single one of the board members believe they were in love to ensure her rightful place as CEO, and then she would tear Supergirl a new one for being such a two-faced jerk.
“There she is, the hero of National City,” Jonathan McConnell intoned, his arrogant musk particularly pungent. “Please do take a seat, we have much to discuss.”
“Such as?” Lena bit out, squeezing Supergirl’s hand so hard that had the Kryptonian been a regular alpha, she likely would have snapped a finger or two.
“Well, your relationship for one,” McConnell laughed, high pitched and slightly nasal as he peered expectantly at Supergirl, as if expecting her to dish out raunchy details.
It made Lena’s skin crawl when she caught the rest of the board leering at her not so subtly, and she could practically hear what they were thinking once her heat perfumed the air.
“Our sales have soared with the Supernova,” Gerald Mathews informed everyone, his smile as thin as the rest of him. He was a wiry looking man with grey hair that matched his complexion, and he steepled his fingers as he eyed Supergirl like she was the new face of L-Corp. “Almost double of what we expected.”
“That’s great,” Supergirl exclaimed, much to everyone else’s delight. Lena shot the Super a moody look, but the alpha ignored her as she continued cheerfully, “You won’t have any problem donating fifty percent of each sale to the charities of my choosing.”
What little color was in Gerald’s face drained at the suggestion, and his affronted pheromones polluted the room. The rest of the board spluttered, while some laughed as they mistook it for a joke. The steel in Supergirl’s eyes said otherwise, and Lena was enthralled by the alpha’s audacity.
“We donate millions every year to good causes, Supergirl,” McConnell laughed, his smirk twisting his lips until it lingered as a snarl. “We’re not about to slash our profits.”
“Oh, well, as I understand it, I never consented to my likeness or my brand being used in collaboration with any of L-Corps products.” Supergirl’s confidence and direct approach shook some of the board and she released a wave of scent so powerful a few began to sweat where they sat. “I guess you could just discontinue them and call the items back.”
Lena settled herself into her chair at the head of the table and leaned into the backrest as Supergirl took charge of the board room.
On the one hand, Lena resented that Supergirl was taking even a modicum of control over her company, and on the other, it was entertaining to see the members of the board at Supergirl’s mercy.
“Of course, surely we can allot some of our profits for your charitable donation, but we’ll have to negotiate with the numbers,” Anthony gently compromised and glanced at Lena, as though expecting some input from her now that Supergirl was being so unreasonable.
“We can only afford to do twenty percent, because I’ve already funded a STEM scholarship program with some of our earnings on the new product.” Lena’s sharp demeanor left no room for argument, and Supergirl filled the space with a scent that suggested the only person whose opinion held sway for her was the omega she was currently trying to knock up.
“Twenty percent sounds reasonable, and for the future, I insist we collaborate on any product endorsements.” Supergirl peered around at all of the silent board members, impressing them at the same time as she overpowered them with her alpha posturing. “If my face is going to be used to market L-Corp products, I should at least be present for the planning meetings.”
“Speaking of meetings, what is the purpose of this one?” Lena asked, seizing back control of the board room with calculated finesse. “We don’t have all day.” She flicked her eyes towards Supergirl with a barely contained smirk.
“Yes, yes we know you must both be terribly busy,” McConell insisted apologetically, for once respecting Lena’s desire to get to the point. “We called you here to discuss PR. A big name media mogul phoned this morning for a tell-all interview, and we really think it’s in your best interest to share your story in your own words as the tabloids continue speculating about your relationship.”
“Kara Danvers with CatCo Media is already interviewing us, and her full length feature piece will be published on Thursday,” Lena lied, borrowing from what Kara had told Anthony earlier in the day. She owed Kara flowers, chocolates, lunch dates and so many other kindnesses for what she had done.
“Cat Grant,” Anthony read off his notes and passed them over to Lena. “She was the one who asked to do the tell-all interview about your relationship.”
“Miss Grant?” Supergirl laughed and smiled such a bright but tense smile. “I mean, Cat Grant and I go way back. I wonder why she didn’t reach out to me about this first.”
“Actually, Mr. James Olsen made the call on her behalf.” Anthony blinked back at them as he painted a grandiose picture of what could happen for the interview. “Just imagine it, cameras following you around and capturing your true story, your day to day lives as a power couple in National City. The untold millions who will watch are going to understand what makes you tick and all of the wonderful nuances of your love. Besides, such a big televised event could be just the thing to clear the Luthor name once and for all and restore the reputation of this once wonderful company.”
The impulse to decline such an invasive tell-all stuck in Lena’s throat when the mention of cleaning up her name came into play. The danger of being observed by Cat Grant bothered her less as the possibility of restoring the Luthor legacy was dangled in front of her face.
For once, National City would see her for the woman she was, without the obscurity of Lex’s shadow getting in the way. The risks were high, but if they could convince Cat Grant that they were in love, then nobody would ever question their relationship.
“We need that exposure.” Lena’s resolute tone made it clear that she was speaking for Supergirl, and the alpha tensed beside her, despite the smile she flashed. “We’ve spent long enough hiding from the media and I trust Cat Grant to handle such an important topic.”
“As do I,” Supergirl stressed, showing unwavering support of Lena’s decision, so that everyone on the board witnessed their fabricated bond. “Miss Grant was like a mentor to me when I first took to the skies to defend our great city, I believe she’ll conduct the interview with integrity and only report the truth.”
The last words of Supergirl’s little statement were subtle as barbs go, but Lena picked up on the warning as the alpha glanced at her with a look that said I hope you know what you’re doing.
Lena pursed her lips at being questioned, however silently, and turned her attention to Gerald when he exhaled a heavy breath.
“Fantastic,” he muttered, his pen already jotting down something that was probably dollar signs on his notebook. “She’s requested a meeting with you both at CatCo Media today at eleven o’clock sharp.”
“Today?” Lena choked out, at the same moment Supergirl wheezed, “She’s here in National City?”
“The news of your relationship was too good to keep her away,” Anthony chuckled, his cheeks pink with excitement that made his eyes glossy and grin manic. “We appreciate that this is short notice, but think of all the good that will come of it. ”
Profits, Lena thought with cynicism as she stood up abruptly. “That hardly gives us any time to prepare, but I suppose we can make it work.”
She marched out of the conference room without a backward glance, and Supergirl shot in front of her to open the door in a chivalrous display that pleased the members of the board.
“Do keep us informed about what transpires in the meeting. We want to be one step ahead,” McConnell yelled out before the door slammed shut, and Lena chose to ignore the soft glances that Supergirl threw her way as they stalked into her office at the end of the hall.
Lena moved her watch around on her wrist and glanced at Supergirl as she stepped around her desk. “We have about thirty minutes until we should leave for our meeting, so I suggest we use that time wisely.”
Supergirl dashed around the desk to unzip her skirt and Lena stood silent and let the alpha get as far as her panties. Her blouse was half pulled out and wrinkled, and her thong down around her knees before she decided to stop Supergirl from going any further.
“What I meant is you should spend the time explaining yourself,” Lena husked right into Supergirl’s face, her lids low over her wintry green eyes. “How dare you tell Kara about anything that happened between us in the bedroom?”
“I didn’t,” Supergirl murmured in distraction, her eyes on Lena’s bare cunt while her thumb idly rubbed over the distinctly slick material of Lena’s thong. The alpha’s skirt was already tenting with her arousal and Lena reeled back with a scoff.
“So the Girl of Steel is perfectly fine lying to my face now?” Lena snarled, tempted to push the alpha away if she was capable of moving her at all.
“What?” Supergirl spluttered, as if finally realizing what she had said a moment too late. “Wait, I—”
“What else did you tell her?” Lena demanded, surging forward to press herself into Supergirl just to watch the alpha gulp as she grappled with the insignia on her chest. “That you’ve had me on my knees? That I’m easy?”
“No, Rao, I would never—”
“Liar,” Lena hissed, her heat forcing her pride aside as she bit at Supergirl’s neck. The alpha growled in response, her fingers threading into Lena’s hair to take control of the situation, and Lena whined when Supergirl tugged her off.
The sudden hot suction of Supergirl’s mouth on her throat coaxed a moan from Lena and she dragged her nails down the alpha’s arms as she fell back against the desk.
Their argument became a physical contest of power and upper arm strength that Lena took pleasure in losing. She was much more brutal than Supergirl with her torrid open mouthed kisses and bites.
Supergirl went with the more simple solution of lifting her up by the ass and leaning her into the desk just long enough to rip her panties off with a snap. They both slipped the buttons on her blouse open to let Supergirl get to the skin underneath.
“I tried to explain—but it’s so hard being honest with you,” Supergirl huffed with one hand on the cup of Lena’s bra, which she fumbled with once or twice before pulling off.
Lena bit her own lip painfully hard to suppress her moan when Supergirl’s mouth moved down to brush over one of her nipples.
“So you’re saying it’s my fault?” Lena scratchily questioned, her eyebrows pinched together not in anger like they should be, but from arousal as Supergirl licked around her areola. “You can’t tell me the truth about what you said to Kara because I’ll be even angrier, and you don’t want to deal with the backlash, is that it?”
“No, no— that’s not it,” Supergirl growled, sucking on Lena’s nipple while her fingers bit into the supple flesh of Lena’s backside to hoist her hips up. “It’s harder to explain than that—”
“So it was what, some sort of honor code?” Lena raged, wrapping her fingers around Supergirl’s erection to find the tip already wet with anticipation. She stifled a whine at how thick and solid the alpha’s cock was and jerked her hand roughly over the length just to regain some of the power she had given up. “You were just compelled to tell Kara that I called out her name when you were rutting inside me?”
Supergirl’s jaw went slack and her warm breaths came out fast and hard against Lena’s tits.
“You have feelings for her,” Supergirl groaned, and rocked into the furious motion of Lena’s tight fist that didn’t let up when she cupped her cunt. “I just thought you should know those feelings are reciprocated—"
“How noble of you for getting involved,” Lena hissed, grinding herself into Supergirl’s palm with an uninhibited need that glossed the alpha’s fingers, two of which pushed inside her entrance. She couldn’t stop her moan when Supergirl curled both to rub into her rippling upper wall.
Lena’s heels still dangled from her feet and they fell off as Supergirl began pumping into her with rushed strokes. It satisfied her cunt and loosened the iron tight grip she had on her self control.
Desperate for an orgasm to offset all of her conflicting feelings, Lena rode Supergirl’s fingers just as hard as the alpha slammed them into her.
The escalating tension between them was going to shatter like glass, in so many fractured slivers that could cut deep. Someone might get hurt, but Lena needed this sexual outlet more than she needed to protect herself.
“Give me your cock,” Lena commanded after Supergirl’s hand was drenched in slick and she was no longer content with two fingers. “You’ve made me wait long enough.”
The fact that her hand was still wrapped around Supergirl’s erection wasn’t lost on Lena, and she guided the alpha with a rough tug to align the dripping tip against her cunt. When the length plunged into her heated depths, Supergirl’s moan was louder than her own, and Lena smirked and clamped around her with deliberate pulsations.
“Miss Luthor, your car will be here in five minutes.” Lena’s secretary announced through the speaker on her desk.
“I’ll fly us there.” Supergirl shoved the device to the floor with a grunt and pinned Lena across the desk with powerful hands that still touched her so gently.
Lena raised her knees up and out of the way and the alpha anchored her by the hips to keep her in place as she rutted into her with thrusts that soaked the paperwork beneath her and turned her pussy her favorite shade of red.
The sturdiness of her desk had never been a worry for Lena until Supergirl pounded her against it at a speed that could have split it in half. The lacquered wood groaned along with her and Lena made a mental note to reinforce the furniture as she rubbed at her conspicuously aroused clit.
She wondered how many times she would have sex with Supergirl before her heat ended and she considered how their arrangement would extend beyond that point. Would they get results from this frequent and crazed mating, or would it take longer for her to conceive?
“Go on, Supergirl, prove you’re alpha enough to get me pregnant,” Lena moaned, knowing full well how the Kryptonian would react to being so provoked.
Without permission to knot, Supergirl would have to be relentless with the frequency in which she came inside her, and Lena wondered if there was some truth to all the gloating the Super had done yesterday. She got her answer when the alpha’s hips collided with her harder, forcing her cunt to take every solid inch at an inhuman rate. The first surge of seed to blast against Lena’s cervix sent her into orgasm and she fisted the Super’s cape so viciously that she pulled it free of the left clip.
Supergirl jolted inside her, spilling her essence in thick torrents that slowly tapered off when she pulled out to admire the mess she had made of Lena’s cunt.
Lena’s muscles still fluttered inside and her fingers moved from her clit to rub into her entrance where creamy arousal dripped.
“Maybe you don’t want to get me pregnant after all. Should I find another alpha up to the task?” Lena taunted with a raised brow just to shudder when Supergirl asserted herself with a growl.
She was being reckless with her taunts, unwilling to give up their argument so that the heated way they clashed together would keep them both on edge. Neither of them were satisfied with such a quick fuck, and she gave a throaty moan when Supergirl spun her onto her stomach to mount her on the desk.
Their weight and motion made the wood creak and Lena spread out to grip the smooth edges as Supergirl bent over her to rumble, “You’re going to have so many of my pups you’ll forget what it was like before you were pregnant.”
Lena shouldn’t have groaned from such a statement, but her cunt was already convulsing from the sordid fantasy of being bred exclusively by Supergirl. The rest of her belongings rattled off the desk from the power of Supergirl’s hips smacking into her backside and she whined when the alpha’s fingers massaged into her clit.
It was clear that the alpha had worked out what things to utter in the heat of the moment, the right flavor of debauched that would make Lena wetter than ever.
“Make me believe it,” Lena gasped, chasing pleasure like it was the only thing holding her together.
She raised her ass up, presenting even though Supergirl was already using her cunt like it belonged to her, and pressed her face into the desk with a keening moan. The sharpness of the alpha’s teeth on her neck brought out her omega and the noise she made was shamefully raunchy.
There was no way her secretary could have missed what was happening down the hall. Half the floor probably smelled the scent of their mating, and Lena felt untouchable because the board approved of Supergirl. Nobody would intrude, and nobody would say a word to her either. That was a dangerous combination when she was in heat. It meant she could take liberties while the board drafted non-disclosure agreements to keep everyone on the top floor silent.
Everyone except her.
Supergirl never bothered to stifle her cries, and bucked harder to ensure a litany of them poured out of Lena as she sucked at her neck and thickened the air with dominant pheromones. The sweat slicked sound of their skin smacking together painted a vigorous picture of their carnal coupling and Lena wondered if the alpha saw this as a way to stake claim.
“You want them to hear us,” Lena accused, the slick pull of her cunt wrapping tighter around the alpha’s cock in excitement.
“I want you to come,” Supergirl insisted, the rasp of her voice so seductive that Lena couldn’t resist the way her omega immediately obeyed.
She convulsed in blissful spasm, her thighs quaking in tandem with her passage while Supergirl bore down on her shoulders to keep her bent.
The added pressure was too much for the wood, and Lena’s desk split in two with a snap that drowned out her shriek. She dropped two inches, her hair fanning her face, and then suddenly they were spinning.
Supergirl held her close while suspended flat on her back, and Lena draped her legs over the alpha’s hips and clung on until she realized her cunt was empty. They were hovering several feet above the wreckage of her desk and Lena lowered herself onto the alpha’s cock with the clear intention of riding her to completion.
“You think my cunt is yours just because you get to have me like this, but I’m in charge of this arrangement,” Lena stressed, the heel of her hands firm against the alpha’s shoulders as she used the Super for leverage and began a frantic bounce. “Your cock belongs to me, Supergirl and—”
A guttural moan was the only warning Lena received, and she whimpered when the alpha snared her by the waist to explode inside of her cunt. The amount of thick essence was startling and Lena would later question why her words resulted in an instantaneous release for the alpha. Fortunately, neither of them seemed ready to stop and Lena worked her inner velvet with suctioning pulses.
She undulated into the solidness of Supergirl, grinding her pussy as hard as she could take it to stimulate her clit.
Lena mewled when the alpha pushed her thumb between her pussy lips to manipulate her swollen bud, and gasped when Supergirl sat up in midair to latch onto her nipple. The alpha groaned, palming Lena’s other tit while she lavished one with her mouth and Lena wrapped her arms around the alpha’s sturdy neck and rocked her hips faster.
They were a mess together. Lena’s shirt was half off and stuck around her elbows, her bra was tangled and one strap had snapped from Supergirl's impatience to free her breasts. What was left of her skirt was buried beneath the rubble of her desk and Supergirl’s cape dangled precariously off one shoulder. The alpha’s short red skirt was creased and wet in patches from their rutting and she sported several lipstick streaks across her cheeks and neck. Golden curls were mussed and knotted and Lena could only imagine the state of her own hair as Supergirl’s sharp breaths and grunts blew it around wildly.
“Miss Luthor, your car has been waiting for ten minutes,” came the tentative voice of her secretary through the speaker. “If you don’t leave now—”
Supergirl lasered the device to stop its interference and Lena wasn’t entirely sure she was mad at the destruction.
She managed to find some of her common sense to breathlessly exhale, “If we’re late—”
“We won’t be,” Supergirl promised, gruff and desperate as she moved Lena’s hips quicker to get them both off.
The increased friction loosened Lena’s jaw and she tipped her head back as pleasure soared through her body. She threaded her fingers through Supergirl's hair and fisted the silken locks when her legs jerked and cunt went into intense spasm.
Lena felt the throb of Supergirl’s cock and moaned as ropy jets of seed filled her up one last time.
Strangely, she hadn’t thought of Kara while Supergirl was fucking her, though she attributed that to how enraged she had been beforehand. Anger must have kept her in the moment, and it sustained Lena even now as the alpha gently lifted her off of her still erect cock and settled her on her feet.
“I can’t attend a meeting like this,” Lena uttered in a daze as her cunt still clenched and seed ran down her inner thighs, warm though quickly cooling.
She finger-combed her hair into some semblance of presentability while Supergirl located her skirt and dusted it off with a quick exhalation that sent rubble scattering around the office.
“It’s fine. We have five minutes.” Supergirl rambled, her speed certainly a blessing when it came to getting Lena dressed. They were fully clothed in a matter of seconds, yet Lena’s shirt was still crinkled and Supergirl’s skirt was in a questionable state.
Lena grabbed a pack of wet wipes from the pile of splintered wood that used to be a desk drawer and halted the alpha by grabbing onto her arm.
“Stand still,” Lena commanded in a tone that was entirely too smoky to be anything other than sexual. She blamed all the moaning for the sultry rasp, and half-assedly wiped at the lipstick streaks that stained the alpha’s skin.
“You have some—uh—yeah, let me just get that.” Supergirl motioned to Lena’s face and snagged the wipe from her hand to carefully clean the corners of her mouth and chin.
There was something familiar in the gentle way the alpha touched her that Lena couldn’t explain, and she stepped back from it with a disgruntled noise that stuck in her throat.
“If we’re not presentable now, we should just cancel,” Lena huffed, aggravated by the fact that her own libido cost her the opportunity to potentially clear her name in the eyes of National City and beyond.
Supergirl’s laugh was equal parts mirth and anxiety, and Lena squinted at the alpha until she sputtered, “You don’t cancel with Cat Grant, that’s—no, we’re going. We have to be there. It’ll be fine.”
It wasn’t.
Between Lena’s screaming and the flight across town, they landed on the balcony of CatCo with nowhere to hide and Cat Grant already standing there with critical pursed lips.
“Well it’s nice of you to drop in, two minutes late. I’d ask what was more important than being on time for the most important meeting of your lives, but I can see you’ve both been…” Cat paused to lower her shades and let her eyes drag down each of them before finishing dryly, “Busy.”
Lena self consciously brought a hand up to her neck and Supergirl all but stumbled over herself to give an explanation. “Miss Grant, it’s so good to see you. I’m surprised you didn’t contact me personally.”
“Mm,” Cat hummed quietly, her smile thin as she raised her chin and waved a hand through the air like she planned to cut the tension. “And I’m surprised you didn’t bother to give me the exclusive of announcing you’re in a relationship with Lena Luthor.”
“I would have, but you’ve been gone for so—so long,” Supergirl stuttered, much more timid and quiet than Lena had ever seen her.
“You can fly around the world in less than a minute, so I hardly see how that’s an excuse.” Cat lifted a latte cup from her desk and took a long sip like she needed it to give her strength. “In any case, I’m back now and the media is just buzzing with this story. Thanks to Kara Danvers, we at least have a foot in the game, but I want more.”
At the mention of Kara, Lena could feel a rash of embarrassment scalding up her neck. She glanced through the glass panes separating the main office from the rest of the floor.
“Is Kara here right now?” Lena asked in quiet terror as she searched all of the desks for anyone resembling her best friend, but then she just ended up staring at Supergirl. Even with both hands planted on her hips, Supergirl still looked hunched over and like she was close to a wheezing panic attack.
Cat Grant smirked at the rosy flush on Supergirl’s face and strode around her desk to sit down. “I don’t know. Supergirl, do you think Kara’s at her desk right now? Maybe you could go have a look.”
“No—ah—no, I don’t want anyone else to see us like this,” Supergirl blinked as though it was a tick and glanced over at Lena for back-up. “Besides, I have a meeting with Kara tonight to discuss her upcoming article, so I’ll talk to her later.”
“Well, then, you can tell her that I’d like her to address one particular subject matter in the piece,” Cat demanded in a deceptive and sweet tone of voice that seemed to be hiding some malice. “The topic of why Miss Luthor isn’t privy to your true identity when you’ve apparently been together long enough to be trying for your first pup.”
Lena had folded her arms in a protective stance over her chest, but she loosened up as she tried to remind herself that she was a CEO with a backbone. She needed a justifiable reason for not knowing Supergirl’s identity and decided it would be wisest to share a version of the truth. “To be honest, I don’t want to know. Our relationship is just fine as it is. I respect Supergirl’s need for privacy.”
Even if she doesn’t respect mine.
Supergirl deflated like a two day old balloon as she gave her own explanation. “I also made a pact with my cousin not to share my identity with anyone else. One of his enemies kidnapped his partner a few months ago and they tortured her just to get his name. I knew that when I fell in love with someone—”
The alpha croaked over the words that had suddenly left her mouth, and she clamped it shut for a few seconds before carrying on, “I knew I would have to be careful.”
Lena shot the hero a questioning look, as she could only assume Supergirl was laying it on thick for Cat Grant’s sake. She thought it peculiar how Supergirl spoke the word love with such laughable and dramatic conviction.
“Far be it from me to tell you how to live your lives, but speaking as someone slightly older and much wiser, you’ve both forgotten some important things that the public will want to know.” Cat Grant intoned with a level of arrogance that Lena had previously only witnessed on Supergirl when she was questioning her motives with the Harun-El.
“Which is what?” Lena scoffed, her attitude returning as she raised her chin to look at Cat Grant the way she dealt with the board. “We don’t have to prove ourselves to anyone, providing we’re in a happy, healthy relationship.”
“If that’s what you think, then you’re in dire need of my help and you should have come to me first instead of allowing your board to mishandle the situation.” Cat Grant’s frosty tone changed the atmosphere in the room and she motioned for them to take a seat while she poured herself and Lena a drink.
“If you don’t know Supergirl’s identity, then what exactly do you call her?” Cat Grant raised her hand up to cut off Lena’s open mouthed panic before any sound escaped her throat and carried on in a clipped tone, “Using her Superhero name creates an imbalance in power which exacerbates the friction between alphas and omegas and how one perceives themselves as superior to the other. Whether intentional or not, our actions have consequences and yours more than anyone’s will be judged unjustly by the masses.”
Lena balked at the precise and succinct way Cat Grant opened her eyes to problems she hadn’t even begun to think of, and she swallowed thickly as the self-made mogul focused on Supergirl.
“And you — after everything I taught you— you should know to be smarter than this,” Cat Grant hissed.
For a fleeting moment, Lena watched Supergirl flinch like a wayward teenager that had been sent to the principal's office.
“What do you think will happen if and when you do have a child together?” Cat Grant asked, and flicked her gaze between the two of them as she filled in the hypothetical blanks. “The pup will be at risk because Supergirl sired the child. With or without knowing your true identity, Lena is still at risk.”
The silence that fell upon them was heavy and smothering and Lena sank lower in her seat as she considered how badly they had fucked up in trying to find a quick fix to her problem at L-Corp.
“I expect you both to have better answers prepared by Friday,” Cat Grant announced dismissively and picked up the files on her desk to signal their meeting was over.
“Friday?” Supergirl questioned as she stood up with reluctance and offered Lena her hand.
“That’s when we start filming the tell-all,” Cat Grant informed them candidly, and directed them back to the balcony with nothing more than a pointed finger. “You two have a lot to discuss and I need to have a word with Kara about the article she’s writing.”
“Well, thank you for your time,” Lena whispered, feeling chastised as she stepped closer to Supergirl and nestled her cheek against the front of the suit.
Supergirl tucked both muscular arms around Lena and nodded to Cat Grant in thanks.
As they took flight, Lena embraced the rush of the air around her and the fact that her hair would be even more of a wreck whenever they arrived. She thought they were heading back to L-Corp until they looped around City hall and traveled in the opposite direction.
“Where are we going?” Lena shouted over the blowing wind and the whip of Supergirl’s cape. They landed on the balcony of her penthouse and Supergirl stood for a moment in hesitation before putting her down.
“I was thinking you could work from home for the rest of the afternoon and I could periodically fly by to check on you,” Supergirl proposed with a casual half shrug before she squinted to scan the apartment with x-ray vision.
“Oh god, you’re already paranoid because of what Cat Grant said.” Lena frowned at the idea of being under Supergirl’s even closer surveillance for the rest of her life just because they had mixed bodily fluids a couple of times. She attempted to downplay the seriousness of the situation because it helped her to deflect unwanted emotions when she noticed the genuine concern in Supergirl’s eyes.
A year ago, she had been grateful for Supergirl’s protection and friendship, and with how they were looking at each other now, she was remembering how much she had appreciated the alpha’s personal attentions before.
“You go do… whatever it is you do, and I’ll be just fine,” Lena blurted out in discomfort and walked off so she didn’t have to continue staring at Supergirl. “I survived years as one of the most hated women in National City, I’m pretty sure I can handle this.”
“Fine, but I’ll be back soon,” Supergirl murmured, and though Lena never bothered to look over her shoulder, she could feel the alpha watching her as she lingered a little longer.
The second she was sure the Super was gone, Lena stripped off and showered in an attempt to clear her mind. She boxed up all of Cat Grant’s speculations with a mental note to unpack it all later, preferably with a bottle of wine, and definitely before she discussed it with Supergirl.
Lena kept herself distracted with work for the rest of the day, and true to her word, Supergirl showed up every hour, on the hour, like an oversized bird to chirp reassurances from the balcony. The alpha was never empty handed, and brought coffee, salad and sushi. The fourth time she landed with a bag in her hand, Lena threatened to call the DEO for a Kryptonite taser.
Supergirl took the hint after that, and Lena stubbornly locked the door to the balcony to stop the alpha from wandering in whenever she felt like it. There was only so much paperwork Lena could go over without zoning out, and without consciously seeking out comfort, she found Kara’s shirt from the night before. She sat with it in her hands for ten minutes before rationalizing that it was a good enough excuse to show up unannounced and quickly applied some make-up so that she was more presentable.
Within half an hour she was pacing Kara’s hallway with the shirt tucked into a bag, and she knocked twice as her stomach roiled with anxiety.
“Luh—Lena!” Kara stuttered in surprise, her eyes comically wide as she pulled the door open to let her inside. “Hey—wow—I wasn’t expecting you. Are you okay?”
“That’s debatable, but nothing to worry about,” Lena quipped, her humor fading with a perplexed frown as she noted the spoon in Kara’s hand, and the open pints of ice cream on her kitchen counter. “I found your shirt and thought maybe you’d like to get dinner, but if this is a bad time--”
Kara laughed, but there was a strain to the normally melodious sound. “No, no—it’s just my way of coping with a tough day is all. We could order take-out if you want to stay a while?”
Lena’s warm smile expanded into a wider, dimpled grin at the invitation. She faltered a step as she glanced at the cartons of ice cream, some half melted and others empty. “You know you can talk to me about whatever’s bothering you. ”
“Yeah,” Kara despondently muttered, her eyes downcast as she played with the sleeves of her long shirt. “It’s—um—actually, it’s about my family. I’ve always been afraid to lose the people who are important to me because that already happened once. I let that fear control my decisions for a little too long and it’s affected everything. Where I work, what I wear, how I act around my friends. Now there’s this person in my life who I owe my complete honesty – and I get paralyzed every single time I try to talk to her. She’s so perfect at everything she does, with such integrity and goodness, and I feel like no matter what move I make next, I’m doomed.”
Lena listened to Kara’s troubles with a softness in her eyes and then she drew her sensitive best friend into a hug. She was good at problem-solving, even exceptional at it, and based on the day she had, she could guess at Kara’s dilemma with accuracy. “If this is about your boss, I totally understand. I was in Cat Grant’s office today. Even I'm a little intimidated by her."
Kara's laugh was slight at best, but Lena could work with that. She tugged her friend toward the couch with her cellphone already in hand and leveled Kara with a look that never failed to get the alpha's attention. "Maybe I should just buy CatCo and hire her to write the article herself. Or I could get our usual stuffed crust, you could pour us some wine, and we can binge whatever's on Netflix until you feel a bit better."
"That sounds perfect," Kara whispered and let her head fall onto Lena's shoulder like that was all she really needed right then.

These two!?!!! They're gonna give me an ulcer. Sheesh. Thanks for sharing ;)
2022-05-10 00:51:17 +0000 UTCI was so confused by the Hannah Montana reference and then I realized the theme song... 😂I'm working on another chapter to this - maybe it'll be up next month? So many things I want to write, but I finally figured out which way I wanted to take this one (of the many different ways I considered). Thank you! 😁
2021-10-09 21:55:03 +0000 UTCCame back to this one on a whim (or cause my roommate’s sister got Hannah Montana stuck in my head who’s to say) and gosh it hit all the spots I was looking for. The comedy never misses and poor Kara trying but only getting so far. Lena’s rich kid kinda shines through in this piece with the “what I say goes” and I’m really here for it. And Cat showing up to metaphorically rap some knuckles! If you ever want to come back to this one I’m gunna be on it like a cat on a string it’s so good!!

2021-10-07 19:55:14 +0000 UTCThis is a very interesting idea for a story. I like the story and I’m very interesting in reading how this all works out.
2021-07-14 02:58:53 +0000 UTCWas rereading this after a terrible week at work and came back to say that Cat is an absolute G in this, I cannot help but to STAN 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I’m here for Cat dragging them for eternity. I’m sure she can help lena and supergirl stage a convincing breakup so their kid can be safe.
2021-03-26 20:12:51 +0000 UTCI love the hate smut this. 🥰🥰🥰 Well in Lena's side. Of course Cat Grant will tell them how it is. I always been frustrated to the "interrupting trope".😩 Just yell it out Kara! Lena seems really piss at Supergirl here. It may end in disaster once Lena finds out the truth. I like angry Lena. Wonder what she will do after knowing? 😅 Thanks again. 🥰🥰🥰

2021-03-21 11:28:00 +0000 UTCWill I read the exact same scenario over and over again? Yes. Yes, I will 😂
2021-03-13 23:10:48 +0000 UTCI have two possible plots in mind for this and I keep swithering on what to do, but... I don't know, I'm finding the possibilities pretty fun. 😺 I hope everyone else is enjoying it as much, too. Thank you!
2021-03-13 22:27:13 +0000 UTCI hear you. 😂Sometimes I get frustrated with it, too.
2021-03-13 22:24:51 +0000 UTCWell, Kara is -really- trying in this chapter.
2021-03-13 22:23:01 +0000 UTCIf only she would, right? 😓
2021-03-13 22:21:59 +0000 UTC😂 Always, yes.
2021-03-13 22:21:09 +0000 UTCI just feel like if there was anyone to advise them on how to handle the misogyny of a board that would want Lena to get pregnant to retain her position as CEO, it'd be Cat Grant. 😺I'm really glad you're enjoying the story that much! I am feeling a lot better, too. Thank you!
2021-03-13 22:20:45 +0000 UTCThis is just deliciously, gloriously, spectacularly dumb and I am HERE FOR IT!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️I really hope they fuck as Lena and Kara before Lena figures it out. I’m still desperate for some Maury policy level who’s the daddy shit. Glorious!!!
2021-03-09 20:25:31 +0000 UTCIt's probably one of my most hated tropes the "trying to tell you but keep getting interrupted"... by hated I mean frustrating 😂😂
2021-03-09 13:36:07 +0000 UTCI wonder if Kara can get off by reminding Lena she tried but kept getting interrupted
