UPDATE (Trapped in Recording Hell and a Huge Thank You!)

Good Evening Everyone…
An update is long overdue, and I wanted to explain why I've been away and why it's been taking me so long to update my channel.
As well as other factors such as working new temp jobs 9-5, and having family visit from Australia, I'm on the cusp of attaining a new permanent job, which will give me much-needed stability and resources needed to continue my online work.

My new apartment is located on a busy main road, and the noise pollution means that I can't record from home anymore. I've been trying to figure out when the quietest times of the week are so that I can start streaming again soon, but I'm also doing some updates to my Twitch channel to improve the layout. (Early Oct. is when I'll likely start streaming again, but TBC).

Any downtime I had between work was dedicated to writing scripts or unpacking from moving. I've been frantically planning new, amazing things for my channel, and I can't wait to share them with you!
I found a studio outside of town that was relatively cheap to hire by the hour, so I went there last Wednesday to record my scripts. However, there was awful noise pollution from the room next door, and two hours of recordings were completely unusable. The studio felt awful and re-booked me for Friday, free of charge. I went back and recorded, and thought it sounded good... until I got home.
I was listening back to it, and across two hours of work were awful spatters of feedback and it made 99% of the tracks unusable.
I found another studio and they managed to get me a session the very next day.
It went SO much better, the engineer was wonderful and helpful, and the recordings came out crystal clear. I'll be going back there 2-3 times a month to get my scripts recorded at professional-level quality.
I'm now in the process of editing the audio for my amazing Patreon and Twitch rewards, as well as putting together the latest chapter of The Castle of Blue Roses.
But despite my frustrations, I know it would all be worth it.
100% of the money I make off Patreon and Twitch goes towards building my VA career, including paying a studio, buying new equipment, and saving up for convention and plane tickets to meet fans.
I know I say this again and again, but from the bottom of my heart... thank you. Thank you, everyone, for your amazing patience, love, support, and generosity.
The Seraph of Stories will return soon!

It's a real bummer you can't record from home, Stephanie, but on the bright side you're getting experience of recording in a professional studio which I'm sure will be useful to you in future. I just wish you didn't have to misfortune to try out the bad studio first 😟 Best of luck with the writing, and the new recordings will be worth the wait

Looking forward to listening to your work again Steph, but don't rush yourself. We'll all be here when you're ready to start up again.
