This world has become bleak these days, and we are in desperate need of more colour, love, life, joy and pride. I had originally planned on taking this weekend off because I’m so busy with family visiting, but when I realized this weekend was London Pride, I knew I had to narrate something for the occasion!
I’m very well aware that I cannot hold a candle to Lin-Manuel Miranda in his passionate delivery of this sonnet he wrote for the 2016 Tony Awards. Prior to that evening, the horrific shooting at the Pulse nightclub happened, and this sonnet was delivered with such passion that it shakes me to my core every time I hear it.
