I will never complain about another rulebook again.

Hey guys! I hope you are all healthy and safe from this craziness around the world. I am thankful that I can work from home, and that my employer is considered a necessary business and can remain open.

As you can see in the main image, I've been busy working through some new videos! I've recently been playing Wolfenstein for review and have finished reading the rulebook to Limbo: Eternal War.

Rules

Speaking of which....it's really bad. The worst I've ever read actually! I had a hilarious conversation on Discord just last night as we tried to figure out what the rulebook was even saying. Here's an example page for ya!

From "Warter" as difficult terrain to not knowing how to see what elevation you are at to...whatever the last sentence is saying about Elevation, it's just really bad.

However the game itself seems to be quite interesting! Lots of unique skills, a shared resource system, a neat advantage/disadvantage system and more all add up to a fairly intricate skirmish game, one I'm still very much looking forward to playing.

Painting

Speaking of Limbo, how do you like the painting I did of Moucrum? His special ability has anyone he kills form into himself while he detaches one of the skeletons that make up his body, creating a new unit for him. Since almost all of the art in Eternal War is in plain sepia tones I had the liberty of choosing my colors.

I wanted his crown and ragged cloth to still look very nice and almost untouched, his bones to have various level of "newness" so some are a darker than others, rusty swords and shields from battles over longer time than a single human lifespan, his scythe (which s coming out of him from the back) to be bloody and meaty and gross like he just ripped it out of his body, and then some magical/ethereal elements to him as a possible reason for his animation.

With his cloth flowing to his left, and his scythe on that side too he has plenty of red on that side so I opted for a light blue magical effect on his face and then his other outstretched hand. Coupled with the light blue tint to his gray base and ideally he pops really well and has a neat blue -> red or cool -> warm look.

New Stuff

This is my first time using acrylic gel to form the meaty bits on the scythe and while I'm happy overall with it, I've learned a lot too that I plan on improving next time.

Looking at Wrath and Veronique who have some very mild assembly, I actually opted for the first time to order some magnets for them and I hope to see how that works!

Of course I'll let you know how it works once I try them out :)

In another update: I have 2 packages coming, each around 15 lbs. I suspect it's Starcadia and perhaps Reichbusters, but hard to tell for sure. Obviously you guys will know when I know ;)

That's it for this update though. I hope you guys have a FANTASTIC weekend and I'll be sure to speak again with you all very soon :)

I will never complain about another rulebook again.
