RESCUE HOUND Ch. 11

Well - here we are. The bitter end, for Kione. This is something of an epilogue, compared to last chapter's large and very final climax. A glimpse into her new life (or un-life, perhaps) and a rather bleak one, at that.

So, er, enjoy?

Regarding what's next: as usual, I'll be putting RESCUE HOUND into one big thing for everybody's reading convenience - although this time with epub, since that's been requested frequently. I might take a little more time than usual to edit it, just to smooth out any small consistency issues that might have arisen. Once I produce that Leinth side-chapter I've promised, I'm hoping to get everything that is WARHOUND together for some kind of big (and ideally physical!) release, subject to me figuring out all of the necessary logistics.

But for the immediate future, I'm going to try and get back to a slightly more frequent cadence of releases, with more of The Subordinate and other stories of all kinds - including, of course, more WARHOUND stories, since I'm already nursing a few ideas

Thank you all for your patience and readership!

These stories are fantastic and they always hit me so strongly, thank you for writing them!

I love how bleak this is. Hate her, she deserves it, and she’ll go on to do worse because taking off the mask means confronting who she really is… The fact that Kione knows exactly how all of the Handler’s techniques work now felt like it really emphasizes how big the difference is between the traitors and dogs who actually believed in something before she pried them open and broke them, and Kione herself who started to fall and chose every step of what came next.

You have no idea how happy I am after reading you will make more stories for WARHOUND🖤

Thank you so much!! I'm very glad it was worth the support, aha. And yes! Kione's fate is indeed tragic and awful, I'm pleased it landed with you

I had to sub just to get more of Rescue Hound. Felt awful and I absolutely adored every second of it! It's so incredibly tragic that, unlike the Hounds who get the sweet relief of ego death, Kione knows she'll have to fake it for every second of the rest of her life until she forgets who she started as. I like to imagine that she lets the mask slip just one last time with Amynta because she knows it won't matter when her training is finished. I loved every inch of the Warhound series and am excited to see what you'll do in the future with or without it!
