2024 New Year's Update: How It's Going

Hey, everyone! With the passing of the year, I thought it might be a nice time to reflect a little about how I feel things are going with my writing and my Patreon, and on my goals and thoughts for 2024.

First of all, to be clear, I'm really not intending to make or announce any major changes to this Patreon in 2024, which speaks to the fact that I'm honestly pretty satisfied. In 2023, I feel like I was really able to push some of my creative boundaries and write better and unique stories for all of you.

The biggest expression of this is, of course, Warhound and subsequent stories in that setting. With that first story, I was really trying for something bold and I feel not only happy with the result, but immensely pleased that all of you enjoyed it too and have been willing to support me writing stories like that. It makes me feel really encouraged to carry on in that vein, as well as try other new things in the future. I'm certainly not going to pivot my writing into something wholly different, but as a creator I'm deeply enjoying being able to express my range and I really want to be able to bring you, my audience, works of erotica that vary in tone from light and fun, to dark and horrific. So, you can certainly expect some more Warhound stories as well as other weird and experimental writings going forward.

I also think I did a good job at keeping a good pace with my writing and relases... at least, reasonably. 2023 was an extremely busy year for me on multiple fronts, and that got in the way of my writing more than I would have liked. I'm proud of how well I coped, but I'd like to be more consistent, and the good news is that 2024 should hopefully be quite a bit more relaxed.

Speaking of consistency, though, something I've started doing this year is varying up the length of my stories much more... usually in the longer direction. I'm going to keep doing that (and hopefully work in some shorter stories too!) but I just wanted to note that this obviously results in a more varied release schedule. I worry about that, since I sometimes notice a slight drop-off in patrons when I'm working in a long story that takes a couple weeks or more to complete. But all of you seeing this now are clearly still here, so thank you for your patience with that!

The final reflection I wanted to touch on is financial. I won't get into the weeds or the numbers, but it's present in my mind that last January, I increased the prices of my Patreon tiers because I was having trouble making ends meet. Thanks to all of you, I'm very pleased to be able to say that I'm in a much better place now. That small increase has made a huge difference to my life, so - thank you. And the really good news is that because of that, I don't foresee needing to change my prices again in the near future.

So, what's up for 2024? Personally, I'm going to be striving for steady improvement in myself as a writer, focusing on variety and on pushing my prose to the next level. But... I also really really want to hear what all of you think. This is where I repeat the plea I've made to you many times before: please, give me your feedback! If there's something you want to see (more of X, less of Y, whatever it may be) please, let me know. I can't promise I'll cater to everything you tell me to do, but I can promise that I really do care, and I take the feedback of my patrons very, very seriously. If any of you would be willing to take the time to tell me what kinds of stories you'd like to see out of me in the next year, I'd be truly grateful.

Anyway, that's more than enough of my rambling. I think all that's left to say is: thank you! And have a happy new year!

Not a non-answer at all! It's very encouraging to hear all that, and to know people like you are more than happy to let me go where inspiration takes me. As for The Victim: I've heard a lot of enthusiasm for it, so I'd be delighted to work on some kind of follow-up at some point. I'm not sure if a direct sequel would be most appropriate, but I think more stories in that vein could be super interesting

Thank you very much! It shouldn't be too long now haha. Happy new year!

Glad that 2023 brought you positive changes. I hope you keep on producing great work, and I eagerly await when you open up for commissions again.

It's a bit of a non-answer but I want to see more of you following whatever inspiration is seizing you. There are things I did not know I liked or even thought I did not like that your work has turned me around on. Anything that fires up your imagination is sure to seize mine, especially on the strength of your writing. The one more specific thing I would like to see more of is a follow-up to The Victim.
